Yeah, before I started to download video based files I used to have that same mentality, now I realize I will always be able to fill whatever space I buy. Even when I get all the older shows I want which means I will only need space for series that are still making new ones I will have to start getting files in high definition. I am not looking foward to re-downloading all my old things either when they update them, if they do that is. Anyway though you can get a 1tb drive now, came out last week. Once you get the program install you will likely run into problems with getting it to work right, although I am only assuming that due to the problems with your Sacred stuff. All the problems should be able to get fixed by setting up some port stuff in the firewalls, but if you have questions on it all then make a new thread for it since it could take a while to get it to work as it should. Also since you have a good amount of space you may also want to download music videos if those are something you like. So far that is not illegal yet either like it is to download actual songs. I have over 2200 music videos downloaded so far myself, many of them I would never have known to exist since the stuff shown on mtv and similar channels is so horribly narrow in what is shown, even more so if you are not into whatever the current trendy music trend is.

Yeah the few benefits of the places I posted are:
You don't have to buy DVDR's. You aren't filling up your hard drive. Although they need to load so they won't skip it takes 10 minutes at most to load a whole show.
So anyway what I do is click on a show I want to see THEN make some snacks, get a drink and take a pre-show potty break. By the time I am done it is totally loaded.

I also think your method is far more efficent then mine Wolfe, it certanly is faster since even if I could download a show as fast as my internet allows it will not be 10 minutes to get a show. I am in the minority though of people who want to keep copies of the shows. Most people are fine with watching and that is it, or they dont want to spend so much money on hard drive space.

The good thing about your way, AREA, is that when it is made illegal to dl TV shows you will already have them. Those of us who don't want to take the time to download the shows will end up losing the privilege of watching them online....
I downloaded like 40 movies and burnt them to DVD-R's then deleted them from my computer.. but then when I moved I lost the DVD-R's (and some sweatshirts...) and don't remember how I downloaded the movies on mIRC... plus viruses can be dangerous from there I've heard.

Viruses are always evil, but I think the threat of them is minimal so long as you know what you are doing. I used to not have any sort of antivirus software installed and only got a virus once and I was downloading like crazy. Now I have one installed and have not had any problems with them since the program catches everything.

Going back to the topic of CSI shows, I have watched most of them and enjoy the forensic aspect of solving the crime rather than the violence of the death because the show is based on the investigation of the crime. I also watch shows like Snapped, Forensic Files, The First 48, Cold Case Files, The New Detectives and many other forensic and crime based shows. I have enjoyed these shows so much I have decided on a career change and will be entering college for a degree in Criminal Justice to go into the forensic aspect of crime solving. I also watch Law and Order, NCIS and House (I agree the sawed cane part was priceless). These shows have captured my attention and have kept it going for the last few years. It is amazing how crimes that could not be solved even a decade ago can now be solved with just a small bit of evidence and investigating.

Seeing as how you like crime related things, and you are talking about old crimes that get solved now, do you, or did you watch Unsolved Mysteries when it was on? I loved that show, although mainly for the paranomal episodes, but some of the crime ones were good too, and the theme was creepy.

I have watched Unsolved Mysteries and still do since they now have a new narator (sp?) and can't remember what network it comes on. I also watched for the paranormal and got interested in the crime aspect, plus my son loved the show as well and would not go a day without watching it when he was a little one. Have you seen Paranormal State on A&E?

Hhhmm, I am not sure if I could like a new narrator, but I did not even know it was still on.
I am not sure if I have seen that show, but I am going to just say I have since I have seen a bunch of random paranormal shows before, and they are all pretty much the same thing, but fun.

The only paranormal show that I don't care for is Ghost Hunter's. It did not spark my fancy at all.
