hey! nice thinking AREA! that'd be friggin suh-WEET!!! and on a sorta-side note, in my opinion at least, i think it'd be kinda nice if in Sacred 2 you could go a bit faster than 220... like maybe 250 or something tops... i dunno... i'm just a speed freak lol... * edit:* another adjustment that would be nice, along with the speed... would be that of the max-level... i think the over-all game play could potentially be significantly improved if you made char.s max-out at, say, lvl 250 instead, because then you would have more skill points to invest in your char, and therefore could make for more efficient (or even more fun, in my opinion) char. builds... just an idea though... -+-Win32##Microsoft Internet Explorer 6.0##1024 × 768##1-+-

Okay I have a couple of comments.... first off you COULD do the Werewolf thing only at night if you wanted.... since in quite a few myths the Werewolves only changed during the full moon and AT NIGHT so it could just be that you can ONLY be in wolf form when the moon is out. Also there was a necromancer character in Diablo that could turn into both a wolf and a bear and each had special skills that it could only do while in one of those forms. It was a GREAT character... one of my favorites.
I think maybe a gargoyle type character could be cool.... like when you turn into stone you are almost invulnerable, but you also cannot move while turned to stone. Maybe some other cool things could be done with it too.
I definitely think we need more STORAGE! Both storage that you can carry and in the stash!
Another one that is a HUGE one for me... only one account per CD. Okay I see that they don't want people clogging up their servers with a ton of mule accounts or people sharing the game with all their friends.... but still 1 acct. is stupid! At least allow 2 accts. per CD. You know for people like me and Alucard that only have one computer but we both play the game... we don't want to have to deal with the whole changing discs and/or retyping both CD Keys over and over each time we play, but it also sucks having to share only 8 character slots!
Another thing that I think would be cool is instead of having one HUGE area with 100's of quests and then doing it over and over again per difficulty level I think they should split it up. Have like 50 quests per difficulty level so that you can always do new quests as you move up in the game and not just redo them all over and over.
I also agree with the gender choice thing for the characters... I like having more physical customization.

I want a psycho furby that has aboslute mind control dominance in spell casting and unparalleled knife handling What I meant is that this time around I also want custom weapons, specific for characters which can be forged to the color you want... and no I don't weild a pink, red-ribboned staff for my BM... not a bad color though... -+-Win32##Microsoft Internet Explorer 6.0##1024 × 768##1-+-

hahahah! niiice Deon... i didn't even think about color customization... if any of you have ever played a game called ShadowFlare they had a thing where in each city there was an old weapon master that would allow you to change the color of both weapons and gear... i really liked that A LOT, not only because of the extra level of customization aspect, but for the simple fact that that allowed for some seriously cool looking color combos... and Wolfe, with regards to your werewolf idea, while i had thought about the whole full moon scenario i had tossed it out since you are unable to see the moon... but the idea of simply while ANY form of the moon is out is something that i rather like! (*and regarding the Diablo II Necro. ... i'm DEFINATELY going to have to pick that game up next time i go to the mall...*) and about the whole concept of a Gargoyle char., Wolfe, yeah that'd be pretty sweet too! ooh, and in addition to be UBER-RESILIENT in stone-form, it might be nice if they took a hint from WarCraft III and made it so that when in stone-form the Gargoyle's health regens at a much faster rate... oh, and AREA... i noticed in your section regarding info about Sacred 2 that you mentioned it was going to be pixilated and true 3D... and so i have a [*stupid*] question... uh, when you say true 3D, do you mean like the game Mount & Blade... or... ... ... what really? so is it NOT going to be like the same view perspective then... or what? sorry, just slightly confused about that whole thing...

The things I would most like to see in Sacred 2 are:
1. Gender choice on all classes. I prefer to RP characters of my own gender.
2. More character types have some sort of flight spell or combat art similar to the Daemon's Soaring Daemon. Examples: the Seraphim as wings; she she also have some kind of flight ability. The Wood Elf could use her unicorn as a flying horse. The battle mage should have some sort of flight spell or a better implemented Phase Shift. I could probably make a case for every character type except for the Gladiator.
3. If more character classes are included, perhaps a water nymph type that would have swimming skills and underwater breathing skills.
4. More storage capacity either in chests or a pack horse or something similar.

Ohhh I was having a #brainfart# is wasn't the Necromancer in Diablo that could transform it was the Druid. But it was pretty sweet.
That is a really good idea Florimel, instead of taking shortcuts by jumping or flying you could just swim in the rivers. Plus then they could do a character specific quest in one of the caves at the end of the rivers that you can't get into normally cause the river flows into it.

Well seeing as how the game will be all 3d then the idea of going in water could easily work. In the first it could not because the game was 2d generated backgrounds that you can not interact with. I like a gargoyle idea too. I would not want to become stone though since that would mean half the game time my character does nothing. But what they could do is do something like was done in the Gargoyles tv show where the evil gargoyle Demona had a spell put on her that she would change to a human in the day. It was not something she could control either so it would be different then the vamp and her ability to change at will.

I was thinking that you could just turn to stone and back at will.... so hypothetically if you were about to die or accidentally got in the way of a dragon breathing fire on you then you could turn to stone to save yourself, then turn back once you were safe.

yeah, i was thinking along the same lines as Wolfe... change at will and whatnot... although i used to watch Gargoyles the show (until a couple months ago when i moved in with my mom who does NOT have the Toon Disney channel... bummer...) and so i do remember what you're talking about AREA (well... i can remember a little of it...) and your mentioning the whole "she can't control it" aspect reminded me of another change i'd like implemented into S2. that being a more diffinitive time-telling icon-thingy... i, at least, personally find it difficult at times to judge when the symbol says it's light enough to be day-time, and the opposite is true as well... so my vamp tends to get a little too much U.V. before i change her back... ( ) and on a similar note, it'd be kind of nice if (seeing as how it's going to be 3D and all...) if the sundials' shadows actually moved and little details like that... that'd be kinda cool in my opinion... -+-Win32##Microsoft Internet Explorer 6.0##1024 × 768##1-+-

Love the water nymph idea. Gender choice in all the classes is a great idea too. As far as the dwarf and machines goes, at the start of a SP game, the dwarf crash lands in a flying machine... kind of a helicopter type thing. So having some kind of machine for him to get around in is not that far-fetched an idea. A flying machine for the dwarf would be great. Can see him flying around in his little machine, shooting his rifle at orcs, throwing flame at zombies, and dive bombing dragons... Ha! That would be great! #woohoo#

I guess I could see a gargoyle being able to turn back and forth at will, but it would have to be a very fast animation to save you. Maybe what they could do so people would not stay in the near invincible stone form to long, where I assume they regen?, is make it so people could steal items from them, although that would mean the game would need to implement a stealing skill and that would make it even more D&D like.
As for time it is hard to tell, although I just let my vamp burn or not to tell me, but they could easly just do a sand timer that would flip when day is over, or night is over.
Kind of going along the lines of the dwarf having some wierd items I have two ideas. The first would be just for the dwarf in that when enemies die they would drop broken items of random things. Then you use your smith ability to forge them into weird items. People could post what items they found to build what item so people could look out for it. Along those same lines but for everybody would be something in the Baldurs Gate II game that I really liked in that each character could get a sort of property they owned. It would be something that would apply to your character. So say the dwarf would get a workshop he could build his items at rather then forge, and then they could be really big. The gladiator could have an arena he would manage to gain money by holding fights and say if it was on mp then the person who loses in his arena the glad who held the battle gets one of the losers weapons. The vamp would have a beat up old castle with lots of shadowy places for her and coffins where should could like invite explorers to come and she could try to trap them to turn them into a minon army. I can make up ideas for other characters too, but since I dont think anything like that will be done it is just wishful thinking that I should not spend to much time on.

Had thought of items being dropped for the dwarf to repair or put together... That kind of thing would make him the truly unique character he should be.
Hadn't thought of having property they could own. Sort of like a home base, so to speak, where they could stable the horse, store items, etc. That's quite a concept there, Area! I like it!
As far as wishful thinking goes, isn't that what we're all doing in this thread?
OOHHH! Like the druid idea. Was my favorite character in Diablo.

Well each character should be unique in their own ways, like the daemon being able to fly, the vamp summon minions, etc. In Baludrs Gate they had a sort of primitive way of the idea I was saying for the dwarf. You would find items randomly that you could take to special smiths to make into weapons, but you could only combine the items once so you had to make sure you had what you wanted. You also would find books that told you what you could build so you knew ahead of time what to look for.
Having property was really fun in Baldurs Gate. I was a fighter so I had a castle/guild like area that I managed. I would come back from time to time and the people I left in charge would have missions for me like repelling an invasion of a nearby town or to raise taxes, etc. I figure Sacred being more action based should not have things be to in depth to manage, but you could still get related quests from time to time. Keeping your horse or horses there would be a cool idea too, maybe you could even breed them kind of like the chocobos in Final Fantasy 7, then you could sell ones to other people online if you wanted. Item storage would also be cool if you could at your property. The only reason I figured I would not go into to much detail on property is because I think it could be a game in itself, rather then just an aspect of Sacred 2.

That's what I was thinking about the dwarf. I just thought he could be a little more unique than he is. His flame thrower, canon, etc. are great... I think I just expected him to have more of a variety of toys and machinery.
As for the property, you're right... it could be a game in itself if you wanted more than just a place to stable your horse or store things. Hmm. #thinking# Maybe there's the new aspect to the game that Wolfe wanted at the higher difficulty levels!

Could be, I liked her idea of adding quests in at different difficulties, or maybe they could make current ones more difficult. So say in one mission in bronze you have to save some kid in a cave, well that cave would be close by and have a few wolves in it as enemies. But then in harder levels it could be like a group of people who took him that keep changing the location and have some Sakarra demons as guardians.
