This thread is only for things you would like to see changed from the first Sacred to be implemented into Sacred 2. This is mostly for fun since the game is already in development but it could be ineteresting to see if anything we come up with here ends up being in the game.
For me I want to see new characters, not really sure what kinds though and for the characters there are now I want the vamp to have some sort of ca to raise her attack and defense rating like the other characters get. I also want the dragons in the game to be uber hard. I want it to be where if I am going to attack them solo people with think I am crazy. I would also like to see a more detailed story, although not to much so as to make it not be an action rpg type game. Oh and I want there to be blood and guts in the US version so I wont have to wait for an international version I buy on eBay to be shipped from the UK.

Like some old players of Sacred 1, I want gender selection. I think it would be cool to see a female dark elf with her version of "Estrogen" instead of "Testosterone" and do a PMS combo. Joke. Also wouldn't it be cool to do a non-combat CA or skill and link it to the combo? Like for example if you do a combat kick, change into a vampire, multi-hit etc and change back something like that. LOL. Or change weapons during the combo without halting the combo. -+-Win32##Microsoft Internet Explorer 6.0##1024 × 768##1-+-

I would definately like to see the safe stables where you could park your horse. I would also like to be able to pick gender and also physical traits - hair color.... I guess I wouldn't mind if the dragons were uber hard but then it would really bite if you died and lost your survival bonus. I would also like to choose another skill at like say level 70 and then again at 90. I don't like that if you choose a skill you are stuck with it and after level 50 you are screwed and don't get a chance to try something else. Or maybe do like in Divine Divinity you can exchange skills for cash, don't like it, sell it back and try something else.

I will see if I can find anything about the gender or more customziations like that. I would think they would implement it since it is very easy to do. The Spellforce games I like you can do it in and all the items you get are interchange able, just when you put them on a female character the armor will look smaller in the waste and larger in the chest. It doesnt make anything appear funny if I take it and give it to a male character in my groups so I think they could do this easily and probably will since so many have asked for things like that. It is part of the rpg games to have your character feel like your own. I think the same might be true for more skills at higher levels, or atleast the ability to change one at higher levels if you find you dont like it so you are not stuck with it from level 50 or less to 216.

Like the PMS combo idea! LOL
All of your suggestions are great. The customization would be nice, but I really like the idea of another skill at like level 70 and 90. Also like the Divine Divinity idea of being able to change skills if you want. Another thing I'd like to add is some way to get to merchants or towns easier. In some places, especially in UW, it is WAY too far between portals or towns. Some kind of recall device, like runes that you have to pick up or something would be nice. Have had to get rid of too many nice items because I ran out of space.

Recall runes sounds like NWN nights to me there, but I liked how they did it so maybe they could do something like that. I think UW had so few portals because they wanted it to be much harder. If space is an issue I think they could make it so if you have a horse then the saddle bags can carry stuff, like say 2-4x what you can carry. Or they can take a note from D&D games and give us storage bags, or they could make it be like Spellforce where you have 99 pages of inventory so you just never run out even if you pick up everything like I do. Both have their drawbacks though, the D&D way has weight limits for your character based on their strength and the Spellforce way you get confused with items once you are getting like over 15 pages of stuff. So I think their best bet would be to allow either more room on your person, a sort of magical holding bag and you just dont have to worry about weight, or let your hose carry the burden if you have one. If they did the horse way then more people would be inclined to use them.

That is true about the horses. I finally beat the game for the first time and since I didn't put any points into the riding skill I can now fly or run just as fast as my horse could so I am just skipping them in silver. I really like the magic bag idea also! I forgot about them they were really handy but no weight limit thing that gets really old fighting that all the time, "can't move to encumbered" god I hated that.

Yeah or you would move but really slowly. But the weight thing is a D&D thing only I think since those games go for more realism and as much detail as possible, having a character be slow in an action rpg would hinder the game to much. Maybe if they dont want to let you carry more they could do another thing that was done in NWN I think it was where you got to carry around a genie and the genie had his own store so you could sell things anytime you wanted. They just made his prices higher then a normal one, his items pretty crappy, and potions and whatnot somewhat limited so you would not only use him.

Saddlebags would be great, but they'd have to fix the horses first so they won't disappear with the loot. The reason I thought of recall or portal runes is that runes are used for similar purposes in the game already... What's one more type? #unicorn#

one thing that SERIOUSLY disappointed me in Sacred 1 was when i finally got around to doing a wood elf char. i thought it was going to be seriously cool because you could ride the unicorn... but noooo... can't let you ride the stupid unicorn... all it can do is run at your enemies and pretend to trample them... and besides... the game itself even says that "there are many different kinds of horses in the world of ancaria there are horses bred for riding, special horses bred for war in kurad nur, and even magical horses." so where in the hell are the magical horses, huh?

Another cool thing I would like is for MP. Combo Links. I was only able to do these kind of things in beat-em-up arcade games. Since Sacred still gives a little arcade feeling to it ... it would be nice to see a 4 CA combo of a pure melee character send something reeling to another character... stun and pass him back... while the melee character is preparing the animation of a Fist of the Gods or something. Well you folks get the idea. And I am yet to find an RPG that does an air combo which some argue as 4D since now there is a vertical movement.

Isnt three dimensional still that though? Just with the addition of using the z axis? Four dimensions I thought was more along the lines of time travel like knowing something will be there in the future even though it is not in the past.

and also along the same lines as my last post in this thread, do you think it would be cool to be able to ride a pegasus type horse, or would that prove to be a little to awkward with regards to game play...? seeing as how while technically the daemon "flies" it's more of a low-level hover in my opinion... when i read the manual and stuff and it said the daemon could fly i was about to jump out of the chair, then i tried it out, and similar to my aforementioned experience with the wood elf char. type... i was a tad disappointed... so i suppose in a lot of ways i would just like to see the flying aspects of the game tweaked a little bit to make it feel more like flying... you know what i mean? and deon's idea of the MP combos that arcade games tend to have (or use to have...) is fantastic! i'd love to see like a gladiator do a back-breaker and throw the enemy into the air and then have like the seraphim turn her weapons into the BFG spear and then execute a jump at the enemy at which point she impales the baddie and pins him to the ground on the descent of her jump... that'd be absolutely stunning! oh, and i almost forgot... i don't know if anyone else here has or at least has played dungeon seige, but they do an outstanding job of utilizing pack-mules as storage/inventory devices... so if sacred 2 were able to do a similar thing only, allow you to also utilize the horses for riding purposes then i think that would be magnificent as well... heck, they could even possibly make another class of horse bred primarily for such a purpose and maybe have that horse type be able to carry more than the other breeds can... and on one final note, with regards to new characters, i don't know what exactly sort of things you guys are really into or anything (largely because i don't know any of you very well... obviously) but i'd personally like to see maybe something along the lines of a playable werewolf or minotaur class... i think that'd be absolutely insane! (in a good way of course...) or even maybe like a harpy or something... hell, maybe even a lesser dragon of sorts... man, there is just so much that Sacred 2 could include that i get excited just "what-if"-ing about it... ;D -+-Win32##Microsoft Internet Explorer 6.0##1024 × 768##1-+-

i just had another idea (very similar to my previous ones) with regards to riding things... what if there was some sort of thing that only the DWARF could ride! that would be absolutely fantastic! it could be anything from a mechanical sort of thing, to something like a rhino creature, or maybe even something akin to a motorcycle of sorts... obviously it WOULDN'T be a motorcycle because that'd be 1) nonsensical, considering the environment/atmosphere present in Sacred, and 2) hard to balance out relative to the horses and stuff... even the riding horses... but perhaps something more along the lines of a small jeep-esque vehicle... not exactlly like a jeep but similar in form and function... you know what i mean? ...and something further that occurred to me regarding if there was a werewolf char. ... if they did do that i think it'd probably be only logical that it be perhaps something of a counterpart to the vampiress char. ... and by that i mean make it like a "regular" guy during the day, but when it becomes night he transforms into the wolf... although now that i think about it even more, it'd probably be somewhat of a challenge to make a werewolf char. both logical and practical... considering the vampiress is a knight by day, it wouldn't really be all that fun to have a char. identical by day, and only truly a differring char. type by night... and the whole thing about how a vampiress lends itself so easily to fitting in completely logically, they'd have to figure out some sort of handicap so that you don't use the wolf form during the day too... seeing as how werewolves are not harmed by the sun, or anything like that... i don't know... in my opinion there are many, many ways that a werewolf char. would be totally awesome, but there are also (at least) almost as many drawbacks/challenges in making such a char. work... any thoughts with regards to how this could be remedied, anyone?

A werewolf would probably be pretty easy to do. Since the light wont affect it then you can change at will but they can make a trade off of sorts. Like maybe when you are in human form you get the bonuses of your weapons and shields but are bound by the normal speed limits, then if you change you loose the abilities of the weapons and shields since you only use your claws or teeth but you become much faster.
