I do not like currently anything that lives in the sea. I try seafood from time to time but do not like it. I have decided it is because of the texture, rather then the taste. I have tried somethings before that the taste was pretty good, but because it is to brittle like normal fish is and I think meat should not be that way I tend to not like it. Then there is things like shrimp that to me are gummy and I do not like that.
I also dont like mushrooms, although I like to use them for flavor, just not to eat them. This is again I think the texture because it is rubbery.
Other then that though I will eat pretty much anything and try things atleast once.

EWWW! Mushrooms! Will not eat anything even close to being slimy or rubbery. Yucky! Let a friend of mine from Mexico talk me into trying menudo once. Gross! Is made with tripe. Nasty stuff.

What is that? I think I have tried it before, or maybe just heard about it since I was close to Mexico and all.

Tripe is cow or pig (I forget which one) intestines. They boil it, put spices, corn, boiled ochra and stuff in with it. Slimy, gross.

I try almost anything LOL But I guess what I really hate is ultra-spicy food. I eat mild to hot but not searing hot. Makes my stomach start a revolution and the protest never ends. Shrimp I dun hate but sadly, I'm allergic to crustaceans

mmmm mushrooms and seafood are good! Alucard hates mushrooms and always picks through his food and puts them all on my plate LOL. Let's see.... I HATE anything that is slimy like okra Yuck! Although I LOVE most seafood... oysters are disgusting!! Again... slimy. I can't eat anything too spicy hot... I always end up doing a little dance cause it burns my tongue so bad #rude# And this is a weird one.... I can't stand peanut butter... even the smell makes me nauseous!!!

There a food that I hate because of the smell, but it tastes awesome.. it's a fruit called Durian. I don't know what it's called here. It's absolutely repulsive once you take whif like something spoiled with a hint of sour something just plain ewwwww.... but once you take a bite it's heavenly.... just... pinch your nose LOL

That is very interesting that it would be like that since if it smells bad it should logically taste bad too with them going hand in hand and all. Now I want to try one. Are they imported that you know of?

Okay I have another one that I forgot.... I HATE water chestnuts. They don't really seem to have much of any flavor of their own and for some reason I just can't stand the texture of them. It's like a crunchy but stale type texture... ick just can't handle them. -+-Win32##Mozilla Firefox 1.5.0.1##800 × 600##1-+-

Yes I am not to fond of them either. Whenever I get Chinese food I tend to get some sort of noodle dish that has them in it so I pick them out. I dont think I mind the taste of them since it is really mild, but their texture seems to not match what I would think they should be.

Man I must be wierd cuz other than that tripe dish I eat all that stuff, but I haven't tried it either.... I even like sushi, smoked octopus, smoked oysters YUM, about the only thing I have ever spat out was my husbands grandmothers pickled crab apples oh my god that was a horrible thing to do to a person. I was so embarassed but I just couldn't swallow it I was literally gagging. Personally I think she was trying to poison me. -+-Win32##Microsoft Internet Explorer 6.0##1152 × 864##1-+-

Watermelon. I gag at the smell. I don't care much for any melons (I mean the kinds you find in the produce dept.) but watermelon has been rated borderline demonic by my pallette.

That is an interesting choice for a description! Can't say I have ever heard of anyone hating watermelon before... I hate fake/imitation watermelon anything though does that count?

Wow watermelon is a strange one.... I know someone else that's hates it though, but for a different reason than the taste. If I remember correctly how it went my grandfather was slicing watermelon for one of my aunts or uncles when they were kids and they got snatchy and he cut them with the knife accidentally. Ever since he won't eat watermelon.
