I figure it will probably be a while before Alucard gets around to making a new riddle for us all, so I am going to destroy the balance of the universe and put up a riddle that will likely get solved quickly, but I like it anyway.
You are alone in a house with three floors. In the third floor, there is a light bulb. In the basement, there are three switches. One switch turns the lamp in the third floor on and off while the other two switches have no function. You cannot see the third floor from the basement, nor can you see which of the three switches has a function. Your job is to find out which switch is responsible for the light bulb in the third floor. You are allowed to go upstairs only one time.
How do you find out which switch turns the light bulb on and off?

I'd just switch all 3, then go upstairs.... I don't know how I'd find out which switch turns the light bulb on and off though

Flip the first and the second switches on. Wait a little bit then turn off the first switch. Go up to the third floor. If the lightbulb is on then you know the second switch controls it. If it is not, then feel the lightbulb. If it is warm then you know the first switch controls it, and if it is not then you know the third switch controls it.
