I once had this poll up but lost it when we tried to move forums...
I got the idea and most of the info. for this poll from Obsession at DaGirl's World. He had such a good idea going with this poll that I decided to start one here.
The definition of the Player Types follows....
Power Leveler: This type of player just stays in their favorite areas of the game. Their only goal is to level up fast and maybe the ultimate goal is to hit 206 on Plus or 216 on Underworld. Usually Power Levelers use the most powerful builds on the game because they don't like risks. The point of playing Sacred for a Power Leveler is to level up fast and safe. This seems to be one of the most popular playing types in the game.
Builder: This type of player is trying to be creative and get everything out of their characters. It doesn't matter even if the build is weak and hard to play, as long as it's fun. Sometimes builds are created even they are not fun to play, but just because they are a new type of build. It's easy to spot a Builder because they usually don't have the time or interest to level up that much. They usually get bored at lvl 100 or before. This type of player knows a lot about every combat art in the game as they probably have used all of them with one or more build types. They know all about what the characters are able to do. The ultimate goal is just get creative and do some builds that are somehow different than the most common ones.
Power Builder: The goal of this player is to build only strong builds, what ever it takes. They are all about doing lot of damage without taking much damage from monsters. Power Builders can do several high lvl characters, but they all are made in the most powerful way possible.
Explorer: These players really like to explore the huge map and find out how much they can uncover of it. They like to spend lot of time just looking around new areas and maybe doing quests when they find some new ones. They don't hurry to high lvl's like Power Levelers. These players don't normally have that many characters as exploring takes time. Explorers can also be Quest Finders or develop into some other player type when they don't have anything new to explore.
Quest Finder: These players are all about quests. They do every quest they can find and if it fails they do it again. Quests are not so popular on MP, so these players are rare in there and maybe a bit more common on SP.
Master of Character Class: These players know almost everything there is to know about one of the characters, but don't really play or know much about the others. This type of player can be any other player type, but their main thing is that they don't play other character classes.
Wizard: Plays only with pure magic builds, in most cases this type of player can also be master of character type because a lot of them play only the Battle Mage. This type of player never plays with the Gladiator because it's the only class without real spells.
Tank: Plays only with pure melee builds, in most cases this type of player can also be master of character type because a lot of them play only the Gladiator. This type of player never plays with the Battle Mage because it's the only class without any melee combat arts.
Item Finder: This player really doesn't care about clearing areas or playing quests and only cares about leveling because that will assist in finding better items. They are all about finding as many unique and set items as they can at the highest levels possible.
Untouched God: This is a really interesting player type. They are using mostly stun spells or what ever it takes to be godly and kill everything before it can attack them. This doesn't necessarily mean they will be skilled or experienced... In a way they are power builders, but they are making the game even easier by taking the enemy out before they can attack. Best example build is a Dark Elf using battle fog and cobra. A really powerful ranged Wood Elf is also a way to be an untouched god since you can kill your enemies before they can even get close to you. Another example is the gust of wind Mage, stun and huge damage with really low risk even if you can't stun everything.
Perfectionist: These players really love Sacred and they want to know everything about everything. This type of player is not that much of Power Leveler because testing things takes a lot of time. But they can be almost any other player type in addition to a Perfectionist, since knowing everything takes a lot of practice in a variety of areas.
