I love big trees so what better place to go see them then where the biggest trees in the world are? redwoods are my favorite tree and the Sequoia's are in the same family as they are, they are just the bigger variants. The trees can get to about 275ft tall (to put it in perspective the Statue Of Liberty with the base is around 300ft tall) and have a diameter of over 30ft. The bark they have makes them very resistant to fires and because of this they can grow to be very old; some were full grown at the time of Jesus. They also only naturally grow in the entire world in the park in California. I went to the park a few years ago, but I did not have much time to get pictures, but I still have a few that are neat of the trees and the surrounding area. Neat road going up into mountains Fog near summit More fog and trees Largest tree I had time to photograph called the Sentinal. About 220ft tall and is nowhere near the largest tree in the park according to its information plate. (Note the person in the lower left near its base for size) Sentinal middle since my camera could not fit it all in one shot. Sentinal top Really small waterfall View from road on the way back down

Wow that is sooo beautiful, especially with all that fog. It adds a peaceful secretive ambiance to it.

Yeah, and the fog just creeped up on you too. It was only where the Sequoia's were and when you went down and the trees suddenly stopped, the fog did too.
