So I am now playing a new first person shooter called Stalker : Shadow of Chernobyl. I have to say it is actually a really good game so far. Its different from the normal shooters out there since it takes some hints from RPG games. Like the game is not linear, and almost all FPS games released until this point have been. There is the main storyline you can follow, or you can get missions from all the random people you meet and the world is very open ended so you can goto other areas, provided you can kill the bad guys that are in those areas. You also need to eat, which is something more D&D like, but its still something I can not think of another game like this doing. I have not gotten very far yet but I still recommend it to people who like this kind of game.

So does it use str, int, dex or something?
Or is it a bit closer to Deus Ex, where you exchanged experience for better skills?

No, nothing like that, there are no stats, probably dont even level up. It is mostly a FPS game, just has the open ended exploring, quest taking, and eating things taken from an RPG. Well there is also a ranking system, so maybe when I gain a rank my char will start shooting better, but so far I am still a rookie.
