I don't have enough words to say how much I appreciate the gameplay of this new epic. I absolutely wanna have a week of all-nighters with this new game. It already looks like a 3rd generation console game on a PS2! But seeing how my right hand has dulled my reflexes, it will have to wait till I can up my dexterity.

I played the first one some and liked it, have not tried the second one but I know I will like it since it is supposed to keep the same feel. Now it is the matter of finding time to play it.

UPDATE: I finished the game with an accumulated game time of 10+ hours.... Hmmm quite shorter than it's predecessor which I played for almost 16+ hours.
This game is not as challenging as the former. But as a sequel it explained a lot to me, and the story line is great. It's not overwhelmingly good, but it's nice enough to play and consider. A 9 out of 10 for me. The puzzles were not as hard as the previous. The first God of War had me running for a game guide at least 3 times if not more. This sequel, I only had to sit it out, run around and solve it on the 3rd or so try. The battles were gruesome though. I must admit, some of the bosses here were tough as nails and definitely harder than the previous GoW. One interesting detail may have me playing this game again: I can select Athena as an alternate costume. She also uses her own swords and not the Blades of Athena/Chaos. Though it's a little weird to hear her speak a manly voice.
