So for all those who have been playing games a long time what is the system that gives you the best memories? Or if you think there are to many then you can list one from each generation. I think I have to many to be just one since I have been playing since a little before the NES days. My easliest favorite would be the TI-99 (Texas Instruments). It would fall I suppose in between the Atari and NES. It wasnt 8-bit like the NES but seemed to be better then the Atari systems. It was basically a computer, but all I used it for was games, so I figure I can consider it a console. It looked like a large computer keyboard with a cartridge slot on it. It had ports for controllers and even a nifty speaking box you could add to it for supported games. I played many hours of TI Invaders and Parsec (which talked). After that my next most memorable console is the 3DO. Man there was such a huge jump in the graphics I was use to at the time being the SNES/Genesis era. I had to sell both of those actually to afford it since it was 400, but it was the first console I had that could have ports done of arcade games. Right now I still have my NES which I like to play from time to time, 1943, SMB3, Tetris, etc. Although the NES for me isnt a super memorable console probably because I had others at the time or even a super powerful computer, the Apple ][ complete with Oregon Trail and the green screen.

My favorite system would still be the PS1. I know it's a bit modern but I really never started playing hardcore until that system was born. NES I played a lot but not even close to the man hours I played in a day with PS1. Besides I had a lot more time back then for PS1 than I did with NES. SO I guess it was just favored because of convenience but given the equal amount of attention I could have chosen NES but something in me still shouts PS.

As for myself, I grew up on NES and didnt get anything new besides game boys until I got my N64. I also never got a PS1 until after I got my gamecube, which I got a PS2 shortly afterward as well. But I would have to say that the Game Boy has the most memories for me, I often travelled alot as a child with my mother, so that thing saved me from hours upon hours of boring car rides.
#btw# My mom was actually more addicted to games than I was when I was little, she played SMB more than anyone else in the house.

Let's see.... when I was very young I had Atari, then my mom actually sprung for a Nintendo, but that of course wasn't till Super Nintendo came out and the price dropped a lot. She had a thing about spending that much money on something that was JUST a toy. So after that she wouldn't buy any other systems... so I got older and probably partly because of jealousy I decided that I was too old for video games, they were for either kids or boys. LOL Then I met Alucard and he MADE me try Blood Omen..... wow it was GREAT! I got hooked immediatly, man I really need to buy another copy of that game! So anyway I have been an avid obsessed gamer ever since. He just didn't know what he was getting himself into LOL So now we have the XBox the PS2 and of course some PC games. Overall I think the one that is most memorable would be the PS1 since that is what got me hooked on games. -+-Win32##Mozilla Firefox 1.5.0.1##800 × 600##1-+-

Was Blood Omen the first in the series, or was it the 3d one? I know I played one of the games on the Dreamcast, but I think it was Legacy of Kain which I think was the second, so long ago I cant remember.

LOL, okay I just asked him..... yes Blood Omen was the first game in the series. 1) Blood Omen 2) Soul Reaver 3) Blood Omen II 4) Soul Reaver II 5) and he thinks the last one was Defiance -+-Win32##Mozilla Firefox 1.5.0.1##800 × 600##1-+-

Ok, I think it was Soul Reaver then that I played. It was 3d and all, and the Blood Omen one was more like a Sacred style game. Fun games though. Wonder if they plan to make more, although I had no idea there was so many of them as it is.

I am pretty certain that Alucard is correct and the last one was Defiance, as the others all came out before it.
