hello all!
I just got the game and am really interested in a mature clan to join. I'm a father of 2 little ones and my time is limited. When I do get the chance to play I'd rather have a more mature crowd to assiciate with.
My question is how many in this clan still actively play the game Sacred?
Thanks all and if there is any questions please let me know!
Rick

Hi Rick, Welcome! You have found a great group of people to both visit as well as play with. (I understand the need as well with one young son, I find I tend to babble incoherently until finding other adults to play with ) I know there are several who are currently (me included) at the moment but Griffman may know the official number.

Hi Rick, welcome to the forum. As far as active clan members go I believe the number is around 6 or 7. The list can be found here. There are 2 right now with computer trouble that is getting worked out, and the others drop in from time to time. I think most of us are just getting by until Sacred 2 comes out. If you'd like to apply we're definitely still taking people in. Drop down to the "Joining the Clan" board and answer the questionnaire. Looking forward to seeing you in game -Griff

Where do everyone play as the multiplayer options confuse me a little as it's not really like Diablo 2. I mean are their private servers you all join or? Thanks for the responses!

Well there is a friends list, albeit a very complicated one... Most of the clan is on my friends list, and it tells you which difficulty and which server they are in.
There is an option to search in the top right hand corner, you must search by account name and if you are missing a space or a number or ANYTHING then it will say the name does not exist and you won't be able to find the person you are looking for.
Sometimes people meet in private servers, but often the regular servers aren't too full so we will stay on those. It is typical to find some of our members in Free Game 4 Players (insert difficulty here).
I'll try to explain the way the servers work..
After choosing your character you enter the main lobby. Then you have your difficulties (Diablo had Normal, NM, and Hell) Sacred has Bronze (character lvl 1-60), Silver (20-100), Gold (60-140), Platinum (100-180) and Niobium (140-216). Depending on your character level you enter one of the lobbies for the difficulty level of your choice, then you choose out of the available servers.
Most have a maximum amount of players set at 16, but the lobbies named "Free Game 4 Player ______" are just as they say, limited to 4 players. There are PvP servers as well, the only place that you can attack other players. They also work the same way with difficulty levels. Finally you have your private servers. Only a few can be made at a time, I think 4 or 5? Anyone can make a private server, and they may put a pw on it and limit the amount of people that come in to however they please.
There is one last section, the lobby named "Clanserver." I believe Ascaron attempted to provide clans a place to play, but released the game without implementing this and never got rid of the lobby. I've never seen a game created in there, and I've been playing for 2.5 years or so.

#welcome# to the forum.... it is always great to see knew people starting to play Most of our members are still playing regularly the only problem is that people have very different personal lives and many live in different time zones so you can't always be sure of having someone to play with. Some of our members will make a point of playing at a certain time if you ask them to meet up however so you should have at least a few people to play with on a regular basis. I am STILL trying to get my new computer set up correctly though so you won't see me till then... Also I thought it might help you out to check out my Multiplayer Basics tutorial.... it should answer almost any question you can think up about MP. #goodluck#
