I suggest going to see this movie. I thought it was amazing. Now, even though I say this, it's not the best movie I've ever seen. It's just an interesting storyline that I've never seen before, and it was filmed very well. As a plus, David Bowie ACTS in it. It's about 2 competing magicians, and a scientist (David Bowie) that helps them to do an amazing magic trick. Thats the best I can give you without ruining part of the movie. Go see it now. It's probably out of theaters, but you can find it in dollar theaters all around the country. Wow... now you only have to spend a dollar. It may or may not be on DVD, not sure.

I have been waiting with bated breath for this movie to come out on DVD so I can see it (why go to the theater when you get unlimited free rentals? LOL). I mostly wanted to see it for Hugh Jackman and Christian Bale, I didn't realize that Bowie was in it too! I loooooove Bowie! Now I REALLY can't wait. #yay# Still have to wait till Feb. 20 though

Bowie plays a small role in it. He is a major character, but you don't see very much of him. There is a lot of talk of his character though.
It's in my queue as well.. I saw it at the dollar theater with a few friends and immediately went home and put it in there so it will come a couple days after it comes out. I can't wait to see it (again!)!

Have you seen it yet? Did you like it?
Another movie about magic is the Illusionist.. I thought it was amazing also. I guess this could be forked for this part, but they are both about magic.............

I have not seen either myself, dont remember anything about the Prestige one, but I do know I wanted to see the Illusionist. I figure both will eventually end up on one of the 30 or so movie channels I pay for, so I will watch them and let you know.

Oh yeah I have seen both.... saw them 4 days before they were released on DVD since that is when they are delivered to Blockbuster hehe. I LOOOOVED them both for very different reasons. I will definitely own them if we don't already... Alucard keeps getting movies and just adding them to the collection without telling me of the additions and I usually don't notice for a while. We are now well over 400 movies. Arghhh but now we are running out of room and he just doesn't get that!! LOL.

I know how that space thing goes. I have a little over 400 movies and my wooden case is getting pretty full, but I have some emergency overflow metal racks on standby.

Saw The Prestige but I haven't seen the Illusionist. Is the latter starred by Edward Norton and Jessica Biel?
I liked the Prestige and all the predicaments it presents to both men: moral issues, jelousy, loyalty and sacrifice. I didn't know they were key ingredients to magic.

Yep and Edward Norton is my hero!!! I just loove him. Unlike the Prestige though the Illusionist isn't really about the magic, it really gets you thinking though. You should definitely see it!!
