It is always interesting when a prophet is able to predict something far into the future. Granted if somebody made enough preditctions that were vague enough they would be interpreted as true, but its still interesting. My favorite prophet although I havent read to much of his yet is Nostradamus. While wandering around online I came across this www.nostradamusonline.com/I havent bought the book but from the little they tell there it is freaky since the things are happening around us. He apparantly had predicted WWII and very closely even named Hitler, although he used to name Hister. So is it possible that WWIII is closer then we think?

I completely believe in Nostradamus... he even referred to large metal birds, that would be his description of a plane since they didn't exist in his time. He included so many details to his predictions and explained things appearances so accurately, tons and tons of things that weren't invented yet, in almost perfect detail that there is no way he just made it up and got lucky. #worship#

I tried to post it but it is to big. So here is the limits to a post.

I dont even know if it is the complete works since it was kind of hard to follow. The guy who made it added comments in between the centuries and the last one was simply called century x and since the prophecies are supposed to goto nearly year 3800 it might be that the one I have only goes to like 1000 years after the initial writing which I cant remember at this time.

I looked at a few of his quatrains on line and couldn't understand a thing they were saying. Perhaps they weren't very good translations or something. If you find a place that has decent translations, please let me know. What I read was worse than Revelations in the Bible.

Well the best way to read his things is to just have them be translated to english. That way you can arrive at whatever conclusions you think he was saying. If I find anything that talks about just widely accepted translations ill post it here. I still havent gotten that book I ordered so I am thinking it never went through so ill have to try again.

Ok, so I finally remembered about replying to this post on that book. I did eventually get it and while it was interesting I find it hard to believe. The author claims he has found a way to crack the codes Nostradamus used to encode his prophecies. In doing this he was able to translate some centuries and quatrains that had never been done before. But what he does in translating them is he makes things be far to specific. He will say a specific country will do act x on day y and so on. In all the other translations the texts are left in Nostradamus' cryptic wording. So I think the book I read was more of just what one man thinks they could mean, unless he indeed did crack the code and Nostradamus was that detailed. Basically the book talks about what Nostradamus called the Time of Troubles, or basically World War III. In it anything horrible that could happen will, such as nukes being shot off like bullets, natural disasters, and some new weapons, one of which sounds oddly like the one hallelujah was talking about that could shift the tectonic plates to make huge earth quakes. This time is supposed to start sometime in 2006 and go till 2012. There is going to be an antichrist who arises seemingly from nowhere by election in the middle east and he will be a very educated man. Now this part I see already happening with the president of Iran. He is very educated, wants nuclear weapons obviously, and is willing to use them to nuke Israel off the face of the planet. The only difference is that I believe he was educated in Iran itself, and in the book the antichrist was educated in Egypt. But seeing as how the president was elected and it was a big suprise to people he could very well be Nostradamus' antichrist and he just did not get one part correct. Only time will tell though, but I have been watching things going on in Iran more and more lately to see if I find any other similarities.
