What I want to know is how do they know there are no magnetic forces in a black hole? We have never come close enough to one to test that theory either.

Interesting idea, although I like much more the idea of Black Holes since they sound cooler then "Magnetospheric Eternally Collapsing Object". To me the name of the plasma idea using eternal makes it seem like these things would be around forever, so why have we not seen any before? Or maybe in them thinking they found out a black hole does not exist they found out that they do indeed exist, just not how we have thought they would. This is probably going to be one of those things we will never be able to really prove though since if a black hole does exist and it can suck in light, then what would be keeping it from sucking in any radio transmissions that are sent by a probe that we could send to where we believe one to be?

Well they could send drones in close enough to see if they get sucked in or not and then try to explode them by a timer device and see what happens! Alucard would come flying out of all three of our closets and steal all our left socks and cool t-shirts and then get sucked back in when it implodes from "space" slamming back into where the black hole was. hmmm maybe it would be best to not explode the drone. I am kind of partial to my left socks.

Well great, the first thing I thought of was the experiment would fail, a black hole would destroy Earth and it would mean the many recent world ending prophecies would come true. While they say that that will never happen I will remain doubtful since everything we think we know about them so far claims that nothing can escape them, so I do not see how we can contain one. If we can though I think it would be the coolest thing ever because imagine them creating them at their one per second I think it said. With that they could sell one to every person on Earth that would replace a conventional vacuum. No more cleaning out a bag or anything, but that would of couse only happen if they could control the amount of gravity they have...
