I'm spending my working hours shredding papers. This is part of an effort to clear out the old records upon learning that one of our administrators had acquired storage off-site for the records (on top of having boxes and boxes stacked up in what used to be an office). So far in the story, things are in relatively good shape. My day mostly consists of and so on until I get to which is not the worst part, since every now and then I get something along the lines of "I gave you something 2 weeks ago to shred, can I have it back?" (take a wild guess why I can't do that) So I'm irritable and frustrated right now. If I shred things, she asks for them back. If I don't shred things, we never get rid of these old records (I have seen some that include paperwork dating back to the mid-70's). Now, I like her (except when I have to do things like this). She's a very nice person (everybody loves her, she reminds them a bit of a kindly and spunky grandmother) and she's very capable, despite the fact that she is not the sharpest pencil in the box, she just has some sort of paper-hoarding obsession. I need to figure out what to do before I end up strangling her. If you hear about a Canadian in the Great Lakes area attacking a co-worker and then pleading justifiable homicide, don't be too surprised. There, I feel a bit better now. Oh, and BTW, she is not literally retarded, that was just me letting off steam (if she was, I would not be so angered by all this).
