I'm trying to get online here, but I just found the neighbors 5 year old son on my glass porch playing with my sons toys! This just gets me really frustrated when people do not watch their children who just wander around the neighborhood and entering peoples houses! My border collie is scared/and protective of my son and he will nip though he hasnt yet I just dont want it to happen, How am I to keep both my dog safe as well as others if they just walk in uninvited?? ARG!!!!!

Wow!!! I think you need to teach those parents a lesson by calling child services and telling them about how such a young child was so unsupervised that he came into your house. Not only is it not fair to you.... but that is sooo dangerous to the child. What if he got hit by a car, got hurt in some other way, was kidnapped, etc etc. Its not like he is a teen or anything. Although I do think that a lot of teens aren't watched by their parents well enough either with all the crap they pull all the time. But in this case with such a small child it would scare the heck out of me that something would happen to him. So I would seriously think about making that call, if they get a visit from a social worker they might be a lot more careful about their young child and prevent something tragic from possibly occurring.

Oh it had me so mad, I just couldn't show it, Luckily I'm a watcher so I knew where he belonged and walked him home. The mother was very surprised he was gone, Her older son was supposed to be watching him. I would hate to ruin their lives if this indeed was an accident, The mother promised it wouldn't happen again. Its one thing if he is invited but I don't want to have to worry about him just walking in. If he shows up again though, I definitely will!
