Only a semi rant here but I wake up this morning and go to look at my clock to see what time it is and I am greeted by a blank face. So I get out of bed and then see my computer is not on, so yeah the power is out. I walk around and find my watch and see its like 845 which is cool since I was not planning to get up till like 930 or so anyway. So I go to my breaker box to see if something had been thrown and then I hear some weird noises outside. So I open the door and outside is 2 big trucks for the power company out here. I watch them for a minute and see they are changing out the power transformer that sits in the front of my yard. Now this does not upset me since if there is something wrong with it then I would want it to be replaced anyway and I know they are just doing their job, but it seems like this is a horrible time to do it at. Now I dont have school today so its basically a day off for me so its not an inconviencence, but what if I did have school, or work, or just anything that would have required me to get up early? When I goto school I get up at 615 or so and I dont know how long they had been out here for, so I could have slept right on through two or so of my classes. With it being off at 845 anyway probably means people around here would not have woken up to goto work. It seems like logic would dictate to do something like this at like noon or so. While anytime of the day this would make for an inconviencence it seems more logical to do it later in the day so that fewer people are affected. Another annoyance with it is that one of the trucks was blocking most of my driveway, so even if I had to have gone somewhere today I may have had to ask them to move which could have taken a while. I guess the truck part though is just my luck for having the box so near me. Overall though I guess it was not to bad they did it since with the power being out and all there was nothing for me to do since most things I do involve it, so I went back to sleep until like 11 or so when they turned the power back on.
