So on facebook (aka the best social networking site ever) there is a lot of new groups for this thing called "Steak and Blowjob Day"(sorry for the fowl language.. it wasn't me) It is supposed to be the opposite of Valentine's Day and is scheduled to appear on March 14th. I researched it a little bit, and just got more offended as I learned more: www.steakandbjday.com/Just in case any of you women need a reason to burn a bra today

If any of you have a facebook account search for Against Steak and B---Job day and join the group created by Becky. We need more people outwardly opposing this day!
I'm real tired sorry if that sounds extremely stupid guys and gals...

Ha! It took me a bit to process this, Sounds like some guy got really burned when He forgot someone special in his life, then brought in his buddies! hmm Maybe there should be female version day to make up for anyone forgotten on Valentines. Make it National" You want What?" muhahaaaa Not gonna happen!" day! We do have that power at least ! (We got that big snowstorm on Vday and guess who got to shovel the drive.... with no help, but from the neighbors... and no chocolate!!! LOL Not a biggie. He did make up for it with a new monitor for my birthday so Alls forgiven.

While I think that this made up holiday is totally crude and should NEVER be put into effect I don't like Valentine's Day either. Cause sorry I have to agree with this little part from that site:
"Every Valentines day you rack your brains for that one special, unique gift that will show your wife or girlfriend that you really do care for them more than any other. Now ladies, I'll let you in on a little secret; guys really don't enjoy this that much. Sure seeing that smile on your face when we get it right is priceless, but that smile is the result of weeks of blood, sweat and consideration."
Your guy (or if you exchange gifts, then you to) has to go through the brain wracking stress of finding a special gift on yet ANOTHER freakin' gift giving holiday!! I hate that... I am the type that if I know my hubby really wants something, and we can afford it at the time, I just go and get it right then. I don't like waiting for holidays cause when I have something I know he'll like I want to give it to him right away. I actually am like that with gifts no matter who they are for. So anyway to make up another damn holiday just ticks me off, birthdays and Christmas are hard enough to deal with. So anyway yah I totally bah humbug Valentine's, we never do anything for it. Besides why should you need a special day to make your significant other feel like they SHOULD feel everyday?
So yah that's my rant lol.

That's true... I don't like Valentine's Day much either. It has definitely been Hallmarkerized. (I should know, I made up the term hehe) And I guess in general, I like holidays that give you days off of school or work more than any of those that don't.

I have hated Vday since getting out of elementary school since I no longer got something from everybody is my class, such as candy, making it fun like a middle of the road kind of halloween. I am another one of the lucky few to have married a woman who also hates the day. We pretty much follow wolfes logic on why do we need a day that attempts to force people to do what they should and or are doing already? I will admit though that recently I have started to like stuff associated with vday, but that is again only the candy and we only like it because you can get like 80 percent off the price the day after and the candy is still perfectly good.

I do want to clarify some thing with what I had said before, I wish I more help with the physical things that need to be done around here. Hubby is Wonderful! but he tends to leave things to the last minute when there is no time to do them, He works nights and sleeps during the day as well, So I do the shoveling, mowing that sort of thing. I wasnt meaning it as a "You owe me" But it would have been nice to use Vday as an excuse to help a bit (He was on vacation) I tend to forget Mens minds dont work that way Not all but some
