I agree with Wolfe on this one. We all have our blonde moments and EVERYONE says or does something dumb once in a while, but this one was going just a bit too far. But really, how far is this person going to get if they couldn't figure this one out? Am not the sharpest tool in the shed, either, but geez.

Well it seems they have that pretty much covered. Let's cover the Tutorial-for-Every-Thing-That-Walk-Talks-And-Breathes-Sacred-Thing thingy then who knows we'll find ourselves in cable TV commercials... only on.. "The Lair" .... I like the sound of that... #clapping#

Yeah I guess that's really a bad point to ask what you should normally figure out with using only your eyes... which reminded me of a bathroom in an outskirt of a highway of nowhere... which only had four walls and an empty mineral water bottle inside. hmmmm... #pondering#

I just started playing this game about 3 weeks ago and sometimes it seems to me you guys talk in a different language. I have tried using the search aspect and sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't. Now I feel stupid for asking any questions. And I thought I really had something here. Dam to bad. Oh and by the way I have no freakin clue what a glorb is yet either. Guess I wont be asking you guys. I was always taught there is no stupid question, just an unasked one. Asking a question puts a person in vunerable state and makes you feel stupid for even having to ask and now I know why, it is people like you guys who are always in the back of ones mind.
Oh and by the way I did read the rules.

I hope you don't really feel that way. The only reason we talk that way about the glorbs is that when you actually get the quest, there are a LOT of them running around right there beside you. In fact, I have had them attack me while talking to the guy.
You're right, though. The search function doesn't work so well sometimes and I was always taught the same thing about questions. Have the same vulnerablility about asking questions. I mean, after all, I had to ask what STFU and STONE meant! LOL
In other words, it would be like asking how to find a goblin in Silver Creek or Porto Vallum.

*sighs* Well don't take it personally. I know people here especially the Staff Members won't deny any person of the right of a direct answer to a simple question. #sorry# As I have tried to point out in my earlier post, it's really going to be hard to root this topic without hitting any nerves. I regret having to grind on yours lindalou, its wasn't our intention to place such a negative impression. I understand your sudden apprehension and emminent repulsion to approach us in your time of gaming needs. As I cannot speak for the forum, I might not be able to get a heartfelt message across for my bearing might not be that significant. However my regrets are genuine and I am more than sure that Wolfe and Area and Alucard despite our antics, do not promote the image of a godly rule over those who are less knowlegeable of the game or those starting to get to know it. I hope that you also understand that I think for the longest time that Wolfe has been playing, and providing 1st hand knowledge of Sacred it is in fact irritating at times to hear a classic question such as that. It has been Wolfe's time and effort embodied in this forum to keep information up to date, accessible and easy to understand; and perhaps when questions like those arise through oddities, it can place uncertain stress even on the most experienced and patient players. Furthermore it might have been cummulative given the number of months or years this forum or these people had to endure answering all the questions that come their way. I personally wish you would stay and continue to participate in this forum. I know Wolfe, Area and Alucard would wish the same. I respect what you have to say and will understand whatever actions you wish to take after reading this. Again, we never intend on implying that just because most of us are more versed with the game than others, that we are somewhat higher in the non-existing caste system. Please do not hesitate to approach us for any questions you have. Our PMs are open and we would be glad to secure private enlightenment should the topics on these forums do not appeal to your liking or seem too unfriendly. I'm not too good as a mushy talker so I'll just end this with the thought of wishing you a good day and hope to read from you soon. #wave#

Wow Linda.... I am soooooo sorry. Now I feel like an ass You are very right though..... if anyone new to Sacred reads this thread they would probably have your reaction... and I truly truly hope you will not leave the forum or feel like you can not ask questions no matter whether they seem simple or not! You haven't really had to chance to get to know me yet.... but I have never ever ever made anyone feel dumb while answering ANY question (or at least I HOPE not)... at most I only point out the search function and it's uses if I know it has been answered many times or I point them to a thread that is already written up on the topic. I would never want anyone to hesitate asking ANY questions on this forum and I didn't think about how this thread would sound until I read your post. Like hallelujah said it's just that the glorbs are all around you.... so if you pay attention to the names of the monsters you are fighting at all than you couldn't help but know what they are immediately upon entering that area. But in truth (although maybe not the best playing tactic) this person may not care what the monsters names are so never paid attention and maybe didn't think finding a glorb would be that easy.... so it's not really fair to say it was a dumb question... I mean after all they asked because they DIDN'T know and if you don't know the best way to find out is to ask someone. I guess I just get a bit frustrated sometimes.... for instance I think I have answered the question "where are all the dragons located" about 50 times... literally. Sometimes it just strikes me that a good amount of these people want to play the game as fast and easy as they can. Where as I always enjoyed the challenge of figuring out what I could on my own, and I also like to browse the forums and stuff because you tend to find a lot of good info. that way. So for me using the search button, although you might have to browse through a bunch of posts that don't answer your question before finding an answer, to me it is a good thing and very interesting. Also I try to be as observant as I can while playing so I of course notice all the monster names and variations of the different monster classes and what not. It just seems to be that people want to jump on the game and beat it as fast as possible without paying attention to their surroundings or trying to go in depth with the game at all. I guess this just annoys me a little because, in my opinion, that is a total waste of such and awesome game. Okay sorry I just went on a little tangent there..... to the point.... I am very sorry for my part in this thread and I hope you will give us all another chance. To repeat what Deon said you also have the option of PMing any of us if you are afraid of posting a question on the boards... also feel free to PM AREA666 or Deon if you are still afraid that I may make you feel stupid... after this thread I can understand if you feel that way. ~Wolfe~

See the thing is the newest group of people on the offical forums seem to not know how to use the search function. You said you use it which puts you above like 95 percent of the others. Going over there and seeing a post asking the same question about something 5 below is is not uncommon. So I think the posting about the glorb thing would be because it is a post that is just cluttering up the place over there. Anybody is going to be confused from time to time on the terminology and I would assume you yourself do not know what a glorb is because you have not gotten to that point in the game yet. If you are playing the the original game areas then there is no way you would know what one is. If somebody has started underworld and does not know what a Glorb is the only way it can be possible is if they play online and have skipped the starting areas, since if they do not you will run into them within the first 20 minutes I would say. So like hallelujah said it would be like asking where to find a goblin near Silver Creek.

You guy's really don't know how much it means to me to hear all this. I know everyone has bad days, and I probably shouldn't have gotten so #angry# but holy man I hate being made to feel stupid. You guy's do such a fantastic job here, really, it puts the other sites to shame and when I read those posts it just.... really disappointed me and then I got mad. I can't tolerate snobbery very well I guess. But I do have to agree with you guy's that one should be paying attention to who they are whacking away at and killing, it makes a tad easier to beat a really hard bad guy if you know what his/her/it's resistances are and the only way to do that is to pay attention to who you are fighting. And I do agree with you Wolfe about sorting thru all the posts, I have learned more stuff that way! I just don't get why anyone would want to rush thru this game, it makes no sense what so ever. The programmers have hidden some very funny stuff in this game along with the sheer beauty of it, the graphics are absolutely stunning. I think alot of the problem is the "instant gratification" that everyone seems to be caught up in these days. I want it now and then I want what's next! Fast food, faster cars, cell phones (why wait to talk till they get home!) it is a sickness that is killing our society. And I guess it shows up everywhere, even in something that should be fun and relaxing. After all isn't that why we play games? Why would you want to rush thru that Thanks again Hallelujah for the personal messages, so... I guess you guy's will be stuck with me for awhile. You guys are way to much fun and I have soooooo much to learn about this game yet. I swear to god this game grows or something after I turn it off it almost gets overwhelming at times. -+-Win32##Microsoft Internet Explorer 6.0##1152 × 864##1-+-

You don't know how glad I am to hear that you are going to stay... #yay#. I felt sooo bad when I read your post and you seem to fit in with our little community here so well that I would have hated to see you go... Thanks for giving me another chance to redeem myself from my bad behavior. And I will admit that I may act a little snobbish at times, though I don't mean too. I think maybe that since I am proud to have learned so much about the game it gets to my head sometimes. Glad to have you back -+-Win32##Mozilla Firefox 1.5.0.1##800 × 600##1-+-

You probably should since it most likely came from Alucards hovercraft and he will need then back. Not to mention that they are electric and well, sitting on it can result in them shocking some not to fun places.
