Split from: Best+CommercialsSomething along the lines of Ari's post happened to me and Becky's dog once... We were watching a movie and a doorbell rang, and her dog was asleep. The dog jumped up and started barking and ran to the front door. Then I rewound the movie about 4-5 times and played that part over and over so that Lizzy, the dog, would bark at the front door. Animal cruelty? Maybe... but it's not my fault she didn't know it was on the tv.. Okay I had this dog once... and truth is I didn't really like him cause he kept biting me but my mom wouldn't give him up. I was teenager btw so it isn't like she was just letting this dog abuse me or anything I just had to stay away from him, but he would bite me just for petting him for some reason. I swear to god I NEVER hurt or did anything mean to this animal so I just don't get why he hated me. But anyway when you played anything with Christmas bells in it he would freak out! He would run in circles from door to door barking like crazy. It was sooo funny! This was after he bit me all those times so I ended up playing XMas music all year long just to torture him. Was that really all that cruel? LOL :Duh:

Na It was staying even Oh the awful dog stories I could tell you! We've had good and bad, but the worst was a doberman female that my sister in law got and kept in a box (She basically ruined this dog)... Now the animal chaos that went on there is beyond my memory but when we got her she claimed Riptide as her person. Thats fine they all pick a person who they see as mama. Well I worked 12 hour night shift. I would get home in the morning and that dog will have Eaten my pillow, my clothing, my side of the blankets there was a hole Eaten down through 4 blankets. Got a topper for you though.. I got out of work early say 2/3 am got home and climbed into bed right into a pile of dog s*t. My husband sleeps through everything I cant even wake him if I try, so he never smelled or heard a thing. Things happened, and it ended up that it was just me this Doberman and my other dog "Pooh bear"... I took the dob to the humane society. I had just had it I'll never own one again... By the way, She did end up going to a doby rescue so she found herself a new home.. Now I LOVE dogs, They are my babies, I guess its smart dogs I need not the ones who have been bred into utter stupidity. My border was house trained at 6 weeks old and in 3 years only has had an accident 3 times. heheh and he says mama LOL One note here too, If Phantom was ever sent to the humane society he would be put down, he is scared/protective when it comes to people he doesnt know, but this happens with borders. I wish I could rescue some cause I know what they need but alas not enough room for more.

Oh wow sounds like the doggy was jealous of your position with Riptide.... Alucard had a cat like that once....
When I first met him he had had this HUGE fluffy AND fat maine coon named Ravyn (lol big surprise!). So I moved in with him and the cat was so used to sleeping next to Alucard that when I started to he would sleep, of all places, right on my face! I nearly suffocated soooo many times. Not to mention I am allergic to animals. It can be a manageable since it only effects my eyes, but it definitely is not manageable with one sleeping right on my face LOL.

Sounds a bit like my cat. He just has to sleep curled up with me.
Once I'm up, he follows me around the house. Right now, he's curled up in my lap, kneading at my chest and purring contentedly. He's become such a suck sine his 14th birthday.

I cant type to well if my cat gets on my lap since she is so big it becomes hard to reach the keyboard, or her claws hurt, but I still let her anyway since she likes to be up there.

I know what you mean. Sometimes when my cat sits on my lap, he feels the need to rub his head against me. I'm quite flattered by the attention, but sometimes he gets so demanding he decides to rub his face against my hands when I'm trying to do things (such as ordering my fleet to level someone's base in retaliation for nuking my bunkers).

The other night While on here I noticed something I almost never see. My cat is a strange one, She will pretend to hate the dogs during the day, and the dogs will chase her around, but around 1am, I actually caught my Pounce falling over and rolling on my dogs head, and the dog just laying there. They actually slept that way for a while. It was one of those Awwww moments. I'm hopeing to eventually get a picture as proof cause no one believes me!

Maybe they were just to tired from fighting throughout the day. at any rate it sounds kind of uncomfy, but still funny, for how your cat sleeps so hopefully you can get a pic someday.

I have a dog at my parents house, but just a bunny in the apartment. Muffin is pretty much completely spoiled rotten, but she's also really dumb. I know... you're thinking, "but she's just a bunny, no wonder she's dumb" But I was really hoping I could train her.
She's also very mischievous, which she gets away with a lot because she is so small. We think she captured our remote control and is holding it hostage in an unknown location.

We used to have a dwarf rabbit named Spice (in honour of her having light brown + white speckled fur). One day, Spice was running around on the downstairs couch. My cat (a longhair Persian) had always watched Spice with curiosity, and was sitting on the back of the couch.
Suddenly, the cat jumped down from the top of the couch and onto Spice. We aren't entirely sure what he was doing, but Spice hopped forward, picked up her hind legs, and thumped the cat in the ribs, knocking him back. Ever since that day, the cat was very respectful of her.

Sounds like your rabbit is more like a ferret there beckyh.
I think I would learn a lesson too if I got kicked in the ribs by something similar, which for me would be like getting kicked by a kangaroo.

Since you brought it up, sorry to offend anyone but ferrets gross me out. Something about that small little face on that big long body is just creepy. It's like an eel transformed into furry ratlike mammal.
I seriously respect Spice the bunny. I would imagine that back legs can get pretty strong on rabbits so I guess it was some good defense. I wish there was a youtube video I could see of the events.

I would think that would make the dog mad, but maybe they are sharing warmth and dont mind it.
