These are several known glitches upon purchasing a horse 1. If you saved the game and you were not ON the horse, upon loading you find that the summon horse button below your character icon is missing and there is no horsie near by. Your horse is STILL alive don't worry just look for him where you last left him. If he's still not there then there's nothing more to say but the glitch got you full stroke. Sorry 2. Saddle disappears. This happens for numerous reasons and perhaps too many to mention. But some of them would be when you are in battle and you are riding your horse, when you decided to double click on the icon and the saddle disappears instead of falling to the ground, you sold the horse and the saddle did not disrobe... etc. 3. Invisible horse. This is rare but known to happen. Mostly this is because of a glitch or resolution issue with the video card. Physically the horse is in the game, just not visible graphically which can be irritating if you can't see the horse and you suddenly slip on its dung kidding. 4. Wrong saddle. I am not too sure about this one. But I read it some time ago that the saddle you bought and equipped sometimes will not be the saddle you see on your horse. Or the stats different. Anyway I will confirm these later.

Hope you don't mind me posting this here, but I just thought it was worth mentioning that it's very easy to lose your horse to another player in multi-play. I steal my friend's horse all the time, especially after I see his saddle fall off. So, if you're worried about someone taking your horse, you might not want to play in multi with people you don't know or friends that like to give you a hard time sometimes. hehe Or just find a secret spot to "hide" your horse, and don't call him once you put him there. edit: Or for those who can or prefer to play on horses quite a bit, get on your horse and don't get off it again while in the game. I've never seen anyone steal a horse while someone else was riding it. That's the most certain way to retain your saddle too, since it's much easier to lose a saddle when you're off the horse (glitch seems to happen much more then).

Dont you just hate it when you save a bunch of money to buy a really expensive saddle and you go into a cave or something and the horse disappears! I always take the saddle with me now in case of vanishing horses!

Honourable Sir Knight Colmyne; Had all of these occur with my Sera, especially the disappearing saddle, it being stolen by and during trading with a merchant. Got fed up with repurchasing my old saddle. Learned to leave the saddled horse well away from merchants, as there seemed to be a proximity effect working for the theft to occur. But patch 2.28 fixed that and the whole bunch. Well, except for this: In combat west of Purgatori, left the horse well clear of obstacles (Sera, good horsewomen she, always mounts/dismounts from the left) to vanquish foe. When I returned, the horse, big dummy!, moved forward between two fungoids, just as I activated Mount. So my Sera mounted facing BACKWARDS!! She held that position until I moved her forward, at which time the horse abruptly swapped ends. Wished I'd captured the screen. ...Nè 'Eleos
