Good luck guys. I couldn't solve this one and I tried for a couple hours (or more). I can give clues if you can't get it after a couple tries.
Can you find the hidden message in the memo below?
James is insisting that the second key to the office supplies cabinet, and the two colored transparencies, will first need clearance before Kenneth and Philip arrive at the office to check all the material early next Monday, so that Peter can develop them on Tuesday afternoon and take them around to David's department on Wednesday morning.

that is such a weird sentence, besides not seeing the message anywhere I actually don't really get what it means...
I suppose that's cuz I'm not English(/American)
As for the riddle, i'd guess it has either to do with the names, the days or the weird items, or maybe all of them

The sentence took me a couple tries to read as well.. I think that would be because of how poor the grammar is. It's a bad run on sentence with far too many commas...

I am not sure how long the hidden message is, but I see "Jaws" if I take the first letter after each comma.

The secret message is 7 words long, and it has something to do with the supplies.

the first word is 'the' and the last word is 'morning'. there is some combination of words in between those that make up a 7 word sentence that makes sense.

Well this is how you are actually supposed to get it...
Take the 5th word in, then the 6th word from that, then 7th, 8th, etc. until you run out of words.

How do you know to start at the 5th word though? I was trying patterns like that, but I was looking more of like how one of the words was second, so I tried doing that, or I would assign the days of the week to their respective number and trying that.

You basically have to try it like trial and error. That's one reason why I didn't figure it out before I looked at the answer... I gave up on trying different patterns.
