No one had started a new one so I guess I will.. it's not much of a riddle but maybe it will spark some more interest in this section of the forum...
Pick the odd one out, and give your reason.

I have a few. First I would say sibling because it is the most general in that is does not assign a sex. Silbling is also the only one alphabetically that occurs in the last 13 letters. I could also do the brother-in-law for being the only one listed that is not a one word title, or that it is also the only one that you would not have a blood relationship to. Or aunt because it is the only monosyllabic word. Not sure if there is only one major difference in the things here, or if there are supposed to be a bunch.

I'd say the brother in law and the bloodrelation reason would be the most likely option

AREA your first one is right. Sibling is the only one that isn't gender specific. All of yours are true though . My English teacher said it aloud today in class so I figured I'd pass it on. Everyone in our class almost in unison said brother-in-law because of no blood relation... I'm surprised that sibling was your first choice..

Well if it was not first on the list then it might not have been my first guess.

Hey your aunt doesn't necessarily have to be blood related to you... if your mom's brother gets married that woman isn't your blood.

Sounds good to me. I am a guy so I do not need to know how the titles work other then who is my mom, dad, and grandparents, so when you women bring up those complicated, or atleast to me complicated, ways to get somebody a title I just smile and agree. At any rate we should keep this one open I think to see how many things we can come up with. I think wolfes one there is a more difficult one to come to then the sibling one, although with her info known it also invalidated the brother in law one too.
