Well; I am here. Not "still", but "now". xD I have only ever played through the campaign of Sacred 1 once; never played Underworld, despite having the game for a loooooong time already. Now I've decided to give it another try. A lot of websites and stuff dedicated to the game do not exist anymore; although I've managed to find some. And another one I could still access partially over archive.org. And yeah... Google eventually brought me to this forum, and in one of the threads was a link to the website. And I've got to say, I'm glad it's still around! Lots of useful information on it (and also in the forum). So, if NightWolfe ever reads this... thanks!

I still check in every couple months or so. I haven't played Sacred yet this year. Things have changed a lot in the gaming industry over the past few decades. There are so many new games constantly coming out, that large active communities can form and disband around a single game through the span of just a few weeks. For older games like Sacred, the community forums/discussion areas for digital stores like Steam and GOG, and LAN->Online gaming services like GameRanger, Tunngle and Evolve, are becoming the best places to ask questions, get help or find other players. If this game had been refined, polished and patched a bit more, it might still enjoy some of the popularity that Diablo II does, but alas. I'll revisit it again some day soon. Despite its various flaws, no other ARPG I've played captures that feeling of hopping on your horse and adventuring to the next town.
