Boo Yaah!! ...did we ever get dumped on this March! 88 +/- 4 inches of snow in 10 days. For the first time ever I had to have my drive cleared by a friend with a Bobcat snowblower. My poor little 5 HP MTD could no longer throw the snow over the top of the 12 foot berm. Was snowbound for two days, with intermittent power (one outage was 6 hours). So I snuggled in with a good fire going in the woodstove, a cup of Black Current tea, and Stan Nicholls' "Orcs: Bad Blood". Hope you all came thru' the winter intact! ...Ŋє۱Єlєοѕ

Oh wow that sounds horrific!!! I haaaaaate snow!!!! We didn't do too bad this year, never more than a couple of inches and most of the winter the snow didn't last for more than a few days before it melted away. What I do hate about the Cape however is the seasons play games with us. For a few weeks now we've had a sprinkling of really nice warm days and they are always followed by extra cold days and light snow that is melted again a few hours later. For instance Sunday was a really, really nice warm day in the high 50's I would guess. Then yesterday there was a cold rain most of the day and today is crazy windy. With my luck tomorrow it will snow and then we'll have another really nice day!

Right now I love the snow, since it gives me days off of school, which we have had 3 I think this year. Oh and ice storms are nice for that too. But when I graduate I will not like them. We never had as much as you did though, I think 16 inches was the most we had in one storm, and I could still shovel it out by hand. If you get any more this year feel free to send it this way since I want to have one more snow day.

Hi, Wolfe! Nice to see your keystrokes! ... The Cape is awfully influenced by the ocean, so I can imagine how your local weather can be as fickle as it is. Snow was a bit overwhelming this year, too true. The county had to send the big rotary plow around to clear/push back the snow berms to return the right-of-way to a two car width. We've had a good weather break for about two weeks, so the standing snow has been reduced to about 4-5 feet. However!!! it's snowing again gently this morning, already about 3/4 inch. Forecast is not very threatening, predicting not much more than what has already fallen. It's just enough to refresh the pretty cleanliness of the view...Ŋє۱Єlєοѕ

Hi, Area!
Well, I would send you some of this white stuff, but the shipping cost would disenhance my economic well-being!
So, school snowdays, eh? What is your major these days? I well remember my own shifting target...my students also. They almost always have a great deal of uncertainty when they begin their undergrad studies...Ŋє۱Єlєοѕ
