I came across the website of Spellcraft Studios who did the original animations when the game was still called "Armalion". Ignore the "Internet Explorer required" message, go to "projects" and click the Sacred icon. In the top left corner of the page that comes up, click on "characters" to see the original protagonists, or click "cinematics" to view the original intro or the ECTS trailer from 2000. www.spellcraft.de/html/e_index.htmOhmigosh!! That is awesome!!!!! Too bad they didn't keep the male/female versions of all the characters

I'm pretty sure nobody has mentioned it, or, at least, I haven't seen anybody mentioning it, but the only side quest in Gathol is to free an imprisoned thief. His name is Garrett, which is like a glowing neon arrow pointing at the "Thief" series of games by Looking Glass/Ion Storm - Thief's protagonist's name is also Garrett.
And sorry for necrobumping, but I love threads like this.

Don't know if it's in the German version but this grave (in Darkwood iirc) is a clear nod to one of mrweebl's better known viral animations.
