Hi everyone!! As some of you know I took a break from Sacred and the community here for a while because my computer wasn't good enough to run Sacred 2... It was just too difficult trying to work on the site when I couldn't play to confirm information or get additional info. on things. Quite a few people were a great help with the donating of information and screenshots but it still left me frustrated on occasion when trying to write guides on what I'd never seen myself. Not to mention how hard it was to see how great S2 came out and not be able to play it!! Well anyway I finally got myself a PS3 version of the game and was starting to think about getting back to my site with more S2 guides when I got some horrible news! Gamespy (IGN) is in the process of moving over to a new data center and there are some compatibility issues so they won't be able to host gaming sites anymore!! Therefore on August 31 Wolfe's Lair will no longer exist on the web!I can't afford to pay for web hosting so I won't be able to put it back on the web on a different host either. I tried quite a few free hosts before finding Gamespy and they were incredibly unreliable so I don't want to go through that horror show again. Not to mention the fact that Wolfe's Lair has become such a HUGE site that I doubt it would all fit on any free host! So I am sad to say that Wolfe's Lair will be saying its farewells to the Sacred Community Thanks for all the support from the fans over the years, it has been a wonderful ride!!!

I'm very sorry to hear the bad news. Perhaps you can contact the DarkMatters site to see what they may be interested in for the Wiki they made for S1. Regardless of the end result, you're a tough act to follow.

Wolfe, I'm very sorry. What is the monthly/yearly fee that donations would have to reach in order for you to be able to keep your site up? I may not like S2 but this is a very very important resource for anyone new to the game series. I'd like to help you in keeping the site afloat if at all possible

Hugz to you both!! @ DaveO - I would really rather not have to go that route actually.... I gave a more thorough explanation on the DA forum when Pevil suggested it and I'm just too lazy to type it out again hehe Thanks for the suggestion though! @ Griffman - They won't be offering even paid hosting at Gamespy anymore so I really don't have a clue..... I'd have to research hosts. That was a nightmare the first time I did it!!!!

What about going back to how we did things long ago and have all things on the forum here? Yeah there is issues with it, but it could be done to keep things alive, or at least keep things that are important needed around and just not be super in depth.

I am very sorry to hear that Wolfe. Sounds like Area has a good idea there and I would also be willing to assist with fees if you decide to go that route.

Thanks for the suggestions, but the site is sooooooo HUGE now and with so many necessary images that I could never host it on the forum. It would take way to much bandwidth from and image host and transferring everything from html would be a crazy amount of work! Luckily if I can't find anything else, Spock has offered to let me host it at his site

Well that is always an option then. Or maybe you can combine things. Like in the other topic you said you were thinking of just keeping the UW section here, so maybe you could do that, and then host S2 on his site. Or maybe since you said you can not get screenshots of S2 and all that yourself, you could put the S2 info on here since it would be less info, and then maybe instead of doing screenshots of everything in the world, just use them less often and try and write very descriptive.

Sorry I didn't see this sooner and I'm surprised that "someone else" didn't post it right away ... I agreed to host Night Wolfe's website for her. You may find it on my website => here <=. [Added] And of course, I'm a day late and a dollar short. All I saw initially was the first post. After I made the above post, I then saw all the rest. Ah well, better late than never???
