I was wondering if anyone ever spoke (read as posted or written a guide) about the innate speed of the differing weapons.
I was testing out differing weaps the other day on my gladiator and am pretty sure that attack speed was always 220, but yet firing/swing speed was far different between differing bows/crossbows, as well as daggers, gaunts, swords, axes and two handed weapons.
I do realize that Gladiators attack quicker with gaunts, but he was swinging much faster with the daggers as well. So, how does one actually pick the best weapon for the job, best damage output (excluding resistances), when there is a sort of hidden factor?
I have come across a few guides and posts, but the focus was on character weapon speed (daggers WE, Gladiator Gaunts, Dwarves axes, etc), and not on the actual speed of the differing weapons themselves.
What I'm getting at is, for example, one can do more damage with a dagger with less damage, but faster innate speed (attack speed is same for both), regardless of character or abilities (ie: Sword Lore, etc), than with a one handed sword, with a bigger hit, but slower innate speed.
OR Am I just imagining this as a perceived illusion; there is no real hidden speed between weapon types, and is strictly attack speed based?
PS: I know i'm behind the times, I am asking about Sacred UW and not Sacred2

Yes some weapons do appear to attack faster but I don't think there was ever a guide written about it...
