Ok, the first place that I asked for help on this was in multi player, but I'm asking here now because I'm not sure about the answer I got. I'm making a daemon now (Obsessive compulsive restarter, but I like this idea.) which will be a melee/magic hybrid with Soaring Daemon/Descent as her main killer. It's level 8 right now and depending upon this answer I may have to restart. The first skill I took was Concentration and I've been putting points into Physical regeneration since my first level up. My Soaring Daemon/Descent skill is only level 3, which I don't think is high for a level 8, but the regeneration is 22.4 seconds, which is pretty long. When I told the person on the multi player server that, they told me that I should have been putting points into Mental Regeneration, not Physical, because Mental Regeneration improves the regeneration of Soaring Daemon/Descent. Now, maybe I'm just an idiot, but I thought that Physical Regeneration improved SD/D's Regeneration. Ami I wrong? And if I'm not wrong, is there anything else that would lower regen?

You are correct, whoever told you mental regeneration was wrong. The bottom row (all the daemon forms) are physical regeneration and regen special move. The top row (BD, IP, Hell Sphere, etc) are controlled by mental regen and regen spell.
I'd suggest instead of reading any more runes for a while to just stick with socketing them in equipment. Soaring daemon will be a very hard thing for you to use as a main attack. I'm not saying it's not possible, but most of the time when someone makes a soaring daemon they use a crossbow because the reload animation is basically non-existent when in soaring form.
The main reason I say it's going to be tough for you is that you have to recast soaring daemon each time you want to cast descent. This will become a problem if you ever need to cast it more than once in succession. You'll have to wait for regen on both the soaring daemon and the descent before you will be able to attack. Unless you can come up with a way to masterfully use your combos then you'll run into very many problems later on in this build.
Please don't let my post deter you from doing this build. It would be nice to see you succeed - I'm just saying there will be hardships, and you'll have to figure out a way to overcome them.

Ok, thank you. If I get any more soaring Daemon runes, I'll socket them. At least until I'm high enough level to handle a few more runes. I hadn't realized that the Daemon would be good with a crossbow in soaring form, I"ll have to get a good one and try that out! I had foreseen that this build could be a little trouble, although I am totally new. I was hoping that by putting skills in weapon lore, IP, BD, and Abysmal Choir , I'd be able to fight off any survivors of descent (or in the case of Dragons and bosses, at least inflict some damage while it recharges). Thanks for the advice!
