Anyone willing to either write or refer me to a guide for a 2h axe gladiator? I'll be playing HC, so I'll need to make sure I don't die .

Sorry couldn't help you with a Glad... try hunting through the builds on the Official Forum... if you find a really good one then send me a link and I will post it here. Just about everyone lets me copy their stuff off the Official Forum.

The English official site is down right now, I tried the French one since that is the only other language I can speak relatively well, but their builds are the same as ours, just in French. No 2h axe build. I may make up my own... it will take a while though- gosh I hate glads

best to wait til the official site opens back up and read rooster's builds. I think he's considered the expert on the glad. :?:

Your best idea would be to speak to r00 , jimmy , or pinki in hc they all make very nice glads and are always willing to help with glad questions. Most if not all hc players will be willing to assist you in any way you need while in hc, good luck with your new glad hope you have fun. jalah.

So, in recent news I died in HC twice with my glad. I started a softcore one. I am undecided in whether I should take Hard Hit, as I always just assumed FotG to be better. What are your guys' thoughts? Should I take hard hit, fist of the gods, or both and why?

Well... I don't know if this will help, I only had fair if not poor experience with Glads... like you and Wolfe, I rarely use one. Hard hit will be useful in the early part of your toon's development. But I would recommend concentrating on the passive traits like Weapon Lore and a Specific Weapon Lore. FotG works more like a crowd control skill. Although it will be explosive, the bulk of the damage is still concentrated on the central target. One disadvantage of FotG is the animation time. It can hurt you a bit if such useful skills will take time to execute in a dire situation. Hard Hit can still be used in hit-and-run tactics. All in all I think both are useful but I suggest you invest more on the latter than the former. Besides FotG looks cool as a combo ending if... you survive. Once, in the previous patch/version, there was a debate regarding the usefulness of Dual Wield since the improvement in physical damage was almost negligible. I suppose they fixed that now. As with any gladiator your buff skills are essential to your survival especially in HC. This may come at a later stage but I know you know what I mean These are mere suggestions. As always the official forum has a well of information regarding builds. Hope it helps

Thanks Deon, it helps some. I was actually trying to figure out what to use against single enemies, bosses, etc. I have this problem where I do a bunch of damage to groups, but when I get to a single enemy I can't kill it. When in groups multi-hit hits each person more than once, when single it only hits them once. Attack is only a 2 hit combo. Fist of the Gods does take a long time to hit, but as of right now it's all I can use to kill them. Darn 2h axe glad...

No problem Here's a little something I know about combo especially with Attack and Multi-Hit depending on the character you are using and the type of weapon/s you are weilding: For the Gladiator: 2H weapons will result in different animation, damage and output when a combo or single skill is executed. Attack - executes multiple hits to a single target or mob depending on the radius of distance. Limited to 6-10 hits Multi-Hit - executes multiple hits to mobs but only executes the first two moves, more or less, on a single target. Limited to 6-10 hits on a group, 1-2 hits on a single target. Dual wield dual wield 1h axe results in the longest animation and thus maximum damage (I could be wrong, weapon attributes, skills and level can make this variable). Attack - results in multiple hits per target. once a target dies it moves to execute the remaining number of hits to the next target until it dies. this is usually 8-10 or 10 to 12 (maybe up to 14 hits) Multi Hit - neglects the enemy status. Regardless of the enemy still standing or crawling to it's last breath, it will hit everything in its entire radius this is usally 8-10 hits but could exceed. Single targets will result in limited number of hits. In a combo I found this effective against demi humans, humans and human-sized foes: Attack>Multiple Hit>Back Breaker>Fist of the Gods... Let me explain MH and Attack are interchangeable, but if you put MH first, there is a good chance that the combo will fizzle after the first move. I don't know why. After the first two, the Glad will pummel the foe to the ground and a considerable amount of damage will floor them temporarily. As I know Back Breaker comes with a stun damage but it has been a long time and I will correct this later. before, Back Breaker floors the foe completely giving you enough time to execute FotG. I don't know if v2.28 redid this. If it did not, then the enemy has something to look up to when he pops his head up. Works for single, tough, mini-bosses. Hope it helps

To be quite honest i know a bunch about glads, picking skills helps alot also, people like trade and i honestly dont c it helping, when u get to noib , u will wish u picked somthin else. Anywaym for a 2h glad, i would put all stt points in str, as def wont be a prob is u pick, parry, armomr and agility. as for CA fist of gods is very good, i do like hard hit tho, both would be good to be proficiante in. i also like stomping jump, hero, dagger stare, and attack. hmmm what else, welll the raane suit is the glads best set, but if u like to be different try somting else. hmm if i think of anything else or u have any questions , jus post ill get back to ya.........................
