First off, I'm sorry if some of this information exists somewhere else. I just hadn't seen it.
From my experience so far, the "best" hunting grounds for set drops appears to be the orcs that roam south of the area of the desert where Wilbur is first found. (I'm super bad with maps and my internal compass is busted, I can get you lost ANYWHERE).
But if you can stand some mindless farming, those groups of orcs have netted me nearly a full set of of 6 or 7 different gladiator sets, as well as nearly a full set of numerous other classes sets.
I've been working on the goblin lawn since my move into Gold difficulty. And I'm curious if anyone else has their "go-to" spot to farm set armor. I know that there are some spots like Tristam Town which "should" be great spots, which only seem to test my ability to load and reload the game.
I'm also quite curious, I've seen it mentioned that certain sets and peices have a minimum level that each set ever be. Does anyone know what the minimum level for Adriell's or Raane's set would be?
If I've missed a post where this has been stated already, feel free to point me in the right direction.
thanks- Serani

Wolfe,
Ok first off thanks for pointing me back to that information. Which leads me to more questions, (who would have guessed).
Taken from the information below - So based on the below Andiell's set has a range from 14/20? If that's the case i'm in the range of all of these sets and I am still the unluckiest man on the planet. Thank you Jacquire's skull splitter for dropping for the 5th time last night! Gladiator: Andiell's Malevolence 14/20 Dalmar's Eye of Wonder 54/70 Dark Side of Feac 6/10 Jacquaire's Looks 14/20 Lorgar's Healer 34/45 Raane's Audacity 30/40 Sirithcam's Consequence 46/60

I didn't write that guide, Rotluchs did, but I am pretty sure what those numbers stand for is the minimum level to equip and the item level.

It sounded like you are playing SP.... that could be part of your problem... I hardly ever find good sets for my character class when I am playing SP.

Yeshhhh come to the darkside... play hardcore multiplayer Also, she is sorta right. The first number is the first level that the set can be equipped - the second number is the first level the item can be found. I think I remember the original conversation on the SIF... although the original probably came from the German version of the SIF...

I got a question about a strange attribute from a Dark Elf set. I have all but one item for D'BraeSineltei's Guise (I haven't found the swift claws). The set I have includes an extra attribute of 8% soul damage. Is this extra damage or more life-stealing (or both?)? The damage numbers that pop up while I'm pummeling an opponent have some that are green (along with the normal yellow numbers) and the opponents "flickers" like he was being hit with a strobe-light or flash.

That you might encounter on a number of different sets, they have a special additional bonus damage to them. This does nothing for you as far as leeching or anything but it is always nice to have a bonus damage. Also it can be helpful against enemies with normal resistances since they can't resist the bonus damage types. You can actually find a list of the bonuses from sets and what they do HERE.

wow, I didn't know about all those different special attacks. I'll think twice about tossing green items from now on...
