Just started playing this game, and I want to know, how do you add points to your abilities (Strenght, Dex, Mental Regen, etc)? And if I'm using a battle mage for the first time, where do I start?

Hi there.
You get points to put in skills and attributes easch time you gain a level. The BM starts in the Belluve area like all the other toons, a bit north of the town close to a stone circle IIRC.

When you open up your inventory there is a list of Skills that you can increase (there is a + sign next to them whenever you level) and if you click on the word "Skills" at the top of the list the list changes to your Attribute choices. For a BM you usually want to put ALL points into Mental Regeneration Hope that helps and just let us know if you have any other questions

Ok, I work for Ascaron right now, so I'm not going to admit how long it took me to figure out to click on "Skills" to see and adjust the "Attribute" settings - but rest assured, it's hung up a lot more people than you Battle mages rock! Er, once you get them to lvl 20 and can take Constitution They're my favorite class, so I've started more than just a few. I usually start very slow, focusing on acquiring as much socketed and spell regen equipment as I can. For all my "throwaway" socket very early I place mage runes that add to exp per kill. I spend all my early attribute points on Physical regen. Last but not least, I save at least 1 skill point per level, so I can select and max out Trading as soon as it becomes available (and keep it max'd after you select it). That helps a lot with finding spell regen and + all spell gear later on.
