:dunce: NOOB here - i have heard mention, but can't find direct intructions to equip arn's sword, without the skill investment (i'm already maxed, i can't take another). i have used the search function with many rewordings of the key words to no avail. does anyone know how to get around the minimum requirement via socketing of an item which will nullify the min sword lore 10 ruling? i have all the rings and the sword, and it looks positively nasty and i wanna try it - help me puleeeezzz?!?!? i picked my last skill b4 i saw the cool weapons starting to come out in the defeated creature drops

This is an easy one, and very useful too The item must have a socket. Inside that socket you put a ring that requires a skill that you have (say maybe weapon lore or concentration) that is higher than the weapon skill required. The item will require weapon lore or concentration rather than the weapon specific lore. Example: Aarnums sword requires level 10 sword lore. I socket a ring that requires level 14 weapon lore, then the level 10 sword lore requirement becomes level 14 weapon lore requirement, so I can equip the sword.

I presume, then, that the converse is true, and you can use a ring or amulet by socketing it in a weapon with a higher skill requirement you do meet.
I know that if you try this with two items that have the same skill requirement, the equipment skill takes precedence over the ring/amulet skill. (at least, it always has in my experience)

Yes Zero, and there is also another way to get around it... If you socket a ring with a higher requirement that you have along with the ring that you want to equip that you don't have the requirement for you can also wear the ring... Also, you can socket any classes jewelry or runes into your armor or weapons. This is helpful say, for socketing mammon's rings with a bunch of + trading into any other classes armor for a trading suit. Or if you use the CA 'attack' or 'hard hit' or whatever your characters' specific name for it is, you can socket the vampiress' rune for one of those and you'll get a bonus of +1 to one of those CA's and the life leach. You're welcome rozzyllah, glad to help you out

Hiyas Thanks for the tip of socketing a higher req ring. But i also got a question. I'd like to equip Fad's, to get fireballs. The question is. I don't have axe lore at all (wrong class). I need to socket a ring with say... 15 magic lore. That's ok. How damn can i then socket the three fad jewelries to get le the last bonus as 1 socket is alreday taken by a magic lore ring ? Thanks by advance

The only way you'd be able to get fireballs is if you had dual wield. You can equip 1 fad's axe with 2 of the fad's rings and 1 requirement changing ring, and the other axe with the last fad ring, 1 requirement changing ring, and 1 ring of whatever you want. There is no other way to do it, sorry

Thanks Griff. This tip is for my sera (dual wield is possible so bolts + fireball + RBOL = Gatling gun) and my boing-tzoing-jumping-stomping-super-duper-tigger (woops) Soaring Daemon... so it's alright. Descent + Tentacles + Fireball + IP. Lovely mass effect. i just hope Fad's fireball are boosted by IP I'm trying new builds... machine gun and nuclear bomb oriented TTFN (think my son watches Winnnie the Pooh more than enough) Thanks
