To All; Have just completed the quest to obtain/exchange the Eternal Flame for the Gem of Light from Hell's Blacksmith. The path to the cave was a brutal bash, but the cave was devoid of enemies Certainly was unexpected; I expected something like the Cave of Heroes and a grim battle for the flame. My avatar ran all over the cave, meeting no one. That seems abnormal, and the quest too easy. Any one have a similar experience? ...Ne'Eleos

Hehehe yep it is always empty.... I think they do that to throw you off and confuse you lol BTW, I loooove your avatar but could you resize it a bit? I use a code to allow us to use a larger avatar size than the default for proboard forums but unfortunately it doesn't always kick in with every page load due to the massive amount of coding I have added to the forum. Which then makes the forum stretch out horribly when someone uses a very large avatar. The size limit is 150 pixels wide and 250 pixels tall. Thanks

Nitie; Well!! An empty cave? Those programmers are just nasty and devious - I LIKE them! Thank you for the lovely compliment re my Avatar; it meant a great deal coming from one with such a gorgeous site. Using stealthy Assassin skills gleaned from playing Thief, I stole several image pieces from various, then layered them with PhotoImpress. Still would like to fade/blend the Nesei image borders more completely into the Sacred screencapture logo. I think I've resized the image correctly (she said, donning hairshirt, groveling and sniffling, "I am only an egg." ) If not, please let me know; I'm still kinda thumping around with image sizing and hosting...Nè 'Eleos Oh, how do you get that reeeaaalllly neat image at the bottom of your posts? I'd kinda like to try an Ancarian Sunset with Avatar.

Yep your resize was perfect thank you Well thats any easy one once you know the secret hehe... just create your signature graphic (just make sure not to make it too tall a good size is 150x500) then host it at any of the free image host sites. Now here is the tricky part hehe. Go and in the signature section add this code: And you're done! My favorite program is adobe photoshop for creating graphics you might look into that if you love messing with graphics like I do. If you like post the original sized avatar for me and I'll see if I can work my magic blending the edges a bit for you. You post images the same way you put them in the sig btw In fact I think I would have a blast trying my hand at my own version of that avatar if you like. So if you are at all interested send me all the original layers too.

Nitie; Great! I got the resizing right (giggling and hugging self) Thanks for the image download advice re signature coding. Saved it to my copyboard so I don't mistype when I'm ready to use it. And thanks for the kind offer to have a go at my Avatar. Was disappointed that PhotoImpress couldn't (or I couldn't ) move the Nesei image behind the horns of the sacredlogo, followed by blending the pic's edges into the sacredlogo's background; I think it would be much improved. It will take me a bit to round up all the pieces/layers. Should I download them one at a time. Should I reduce them in size before download (they are all probably 600x600)? Are they OK as JPG images? The name is just a text insert in bright red, italisized and bolded, using Word's Monotype Corsica. The broken frame is one of PhotoImpress' custom frames. I'll have to figure how to capture and save it for downloading ...'Nè 'Eleos

What you can do is just zip all the layers including your finished one which I can probably use to copy the frame... then email them to wolfes.lair@gmail.com Oh and yes the original sizes would be great!

Nitie; OMG!! Exactly what I tried to do for days you did in less than a half day! ( Goes off Green-With-Envy to pout for a few minutes). OK, I'm all better now How did you make the logo background transparent for the pic to blend so perfectly with it? I remember that you preferred Adobe Photoshop, so it must allow that. I also know that Photoshop's a bit pricey, but if it allows that sort of image manipulation...! But no matter; I'm changing Avatars Right Now!...Nè 'Eleos

Hehe well thanks for the kudos It takes a little practice to get really good at it... but once you know the tricks it is easy! In fact it took me about 1/2 hour to complete it from start to finish... you already did the hard parts for me. I always finding creating the design to be the most difficult part with all web graphics So this is what I did: Step 1: I removed your name from the girl avatar using the clone stamp and then resized the image. Step 2: I took the Sacred Logo image and cropped the boring edges off. Then copied it so that I had TWO identical layers of the Logo. Step 3: I then erased the all the black from the center of the logo on one of the copies. Step 4: I took the girl avatar and pasted her in between the two background copies. Doing that make it where the edges of the logo fit OVER the girl image. Step 5: I used the smudge tool around the edges of the girl picture to blend the edges all the way under the top copy of the sacred logo giving it the nice blended effect. Step 6: I then took your original copy of the finished avatar and erased the entire center only leaving the white border, which I copied and pasted on top of all my above layers. Then I of course added the text which anyone can do without instruction and viola!

Nitie; Brilliant! Duping the logo and sandwiching the Nesei between the two is key. So why didn't I think of that? Time to reveal some secrets: The Nesei was cribbed from a Razr ad. If you expand the image and look in her right hand, you'll see what looks like a throwing star or spike (shurikin??) It's the phone on edge . The Sacred logo was snatched out of one of the intro vidclips as it was growing and scintillating, and cleaned up a bit, and you know the text as Word's Corsica. I'm shifting my Avatar's image with this message, just to give you an idea of my next project. I'm sure you'll recognize the source ...Nè 'Eleos ...and how does Hallelujah have her avatar shift images in each post? Changing mine changes them, pre- and post message.

Hehe nice one! It is very small but appears to be Uma Thurman in Kill Bill?
Oh there are two ways to get your image to shift in the forum. The first anyone can do... that would be like MY avatar. You just make a slideshow of all the images you want and they continuously shift through them all.
Then the second method which Hal has is some forum coding I added for us. I added some coding in the forum where I can add the URLs for an unlimited amount of images and assign them as the avatars for a specific forum member. Then they randomly appear on every page load. I personally chose to stop using it however because I found it being totally random that I rarely saw some of my favorite avatars so I created the slideshow instead.

Nitie; OK, slideshow it is. Tx for the tip. ...and Yep, it's The Bride, Elle, from KillBill. I've found DVDs to be a rich source of images, especially the SciFi, as well as some of my computer and gaming mags. Thanks again for your help thru' all this. I think we've let this thread drift far enough! ...Nè 'Eleos
