We just found out one of the benefits of getting the Collector's Edition and I think it is such a GREAT bonus that EVERYONE should get it!!! If you are playing the Collector's Edition is Closed Multiplayer and run out of inventory space your own personal Carrier Imp will wander up with your player storage chest so you can make room for new drops! Check him out:

I bought it a few days back, although I did it for the higher resolution textures myself, and I am sure the Imp will come in handy as well.
Do you know how the Imp works wolfe? From what you said it sounds like he will come up when you are low, or run out of space? I hope that is the case since I do not want him following me around all the time.

I know he doesn't follow you around all the time... What I am not clear on however is whether he automatically comes to you when you run out of space or if you have to cast something to summon him.

To teach you a life lesson I would assume. I have had many times where I have bought something, mainly a movie, only to realize there was something on a better version that made me want it much more. Perhaps you can return the one you bought though in order to get the CE. Most of the things in it are not of much worth to me, like I looked through the book once, thought about putting one of the tattoos on my forehead, and thought about listening to the music until I did not see the Blind Guardian song on it. But, if you have a high end PC then the better graphics are fun, or so I think since I am not sure what the other versions look like, and while I have not yet played online to use my imp or whatever that ingame graphic thing is, I can say that the imp should be a good thing to have.
One possibility to look out for though would be that maybe somebody will sell the parts to the CE on eBay or a similar site sometime. Like inside the CE box is simply the dvd case of the vanilla game, and all the other things are put inside the larger box it all comes in. To use the elite graphics you just install another dvd, so you may be able to just get a copy of those from somebody, but it may need a code to do so, I can not remember though since I am not around my main computer, and to use the imp is simply a code. So it is possible somebody will just sell those items online if they do not need them.

I'll research more to decide if I should get the CE. I've spent a lot lately, and you know how the economy is around the whole world. My money evaporated quite a bit during the last month.

There is no need researching. In the book I got to the game it was writen down that if u press "X" the Imp comes with ur Chest...

Yup, I saw that too. But also note that you can sell items anywhere - even in the middle of wilderness. The price is reduced, but you get to free up precious inventory space for more precious items. This carrier imp is nifty but not necessary...
The CE also contains additional graphics... but I heard about people disabling it to avoid frequent crashes. It'll take Ascaron some time to patch.

I did not realize the selling things anywhere you want thing was a CE edition thing, I use it all the time so I am now more glad to have gotten it.
I did not know the graphics were causing people issues. I have had some problems, but for me, the main issue by far is using Fraps. Sacred seems to hate it running in the background, so if I plan to take a screen shot I have to start up Fraps, then get in and quickly do what I want before my computer locks up, otherwise I can play for hours and be fine.
Do you know the thread where people are talking about issues with it? I figure since I do not seem to then maybe I can post the drivers of things I am using in there since I just updated my motherboard drivers and I am using a beta video driver that works well, although some textures are randomly not there, but that is not Ascarons fault.

AREA I've got the same problem but for me if I play in window mode it doesn't come up, only if I play full screen... I had a lot of problems with it when I was creating screen shots of a cemetery... so if you hadn't tried it out with window mode u should...

Have not tried it yet, I just keep letting the things I need to take pictures of pile up. I never want to stop playing when I get something cool to take a shot of, I just think, "keep playing and get the shot later", but now I have like 6 things to do or so I think.

I know a little bit about the carrier imp. When you get low on inventory space there is a keyboard key you press to summon the carrier imp. He shows up with your blue chest so you can store your additional items. I do believe he leaves shortly after you close the chest. And you can summon him at need.
Now, the imp is ONLY available in closed-net games. You cannot use him, even if you bought the CE, in single player games, or open-net games.
Hope some of this about the imp helps.
Now with fraps, AREA666 is dead on. S2FA really hates it. If you are lucky and it doesn't completly choke use it sparingly, then exit fraps before starting S2 again. I didn't experience the game freeze, but it did drop my frame rate by about 75%. And my box is no slouch either as it's weakest component is the 8800GT VC.
