Rule one: No inappropriate content
Which includes: Obscene, Pornographic or Illegal remarks/links etc. Overall I am pretty accepting, I like to encourage free thought and discussion. Therefore I will allow a number of things that many forums don't such as religious topics, political topics, the Sacred blacklist, etc. But please don't let it get insulting/hurtful or it will be edited and closed.
Rule two: Keep to the Topic, No Spamming
Staying on Topic means that when threads have been opened and contain a discussion about a certain topic then it should be kept that way. Moving from topic to topic in one thread is not only confusing for its readers, but can also lead to more spamming. This includes continues episodes of "I am bored..." or the senseless additions of Posts in a Thread to keep it at the top of the list. This does not only confuses new members, but also makes it harder to keep an overview by anyone. The one place that endless spamming is allowed is in the Chat Zone, which is a sub-board of Blah, Blah, Blah...
Rule three: Those who seek, shall find
It is easy to open a new thread to talk about a certain subject, whether it be a question, comment or otherwise. Imagine if everyone did that. It would be more than difficult to find anything then. So please use the Search function that is what this feature is there for, because the chance that your question might have already been answered is pretty high.
Rule four: Don’t double post
There is no need to post your questions multiple times to get more attention. Our moderators keep an eye on the whole board and will move a thread if it is suited better in a different sub forum.
Rule five: Not everyone has Broadband
Although it seems to be a myth, fact is a lot of users still connect to the internet using a modem. It is because of this (and the stretching of the forum) that the posting of large Images, Avatars or Sigs are not allowed. Please see the individual posts in this board regarding the exact measurement restrictions of the above.
Final Rule: The Admin/Moderator is always right...
If any of these rules are broken, it is up to the Admin/Moderators to decide on the severity of punishment. This means that Postings or entire Threads can be deleted without the need to comment on them or explain the reasons for their deletion. The Admin can also warn or even ban an offender if a major rule has been broken, also without comment. If someone feels the need to open a thread entitled "Why was this..." or "Why was he...", don’t be surprised to find those deleted shortly afterward. If you still think a great injustice has been done, please send me (NightWolfe) a PM and I will be happy to take your opinions on the matter into consideration.
