[glow=red,2,300]Death from above... and below[/glow]
Based on lots of builds and tips i read everywhere. All credits to their respective owners.
Name : Taki
Level : 14
Specialty : Diving Bomber
Efficient against :
Melee Mobs, the weaker against fire or poison, the better.
CA Routine :
- Take off : Soaring Daemon
- Buff : Infernal Power and/or Tentacles (during the first lvls, you won't be able to manage both the buffs, as the regen times are so high that one will wear off as you cast the second)
- Monster taunting (flying in circle, using and abusing of your speed and defense boni)
- One hit kill in the center of the mob (Bull's Eye) using Descent + Area of Effect, and if buffed by Tentacles, Poison Chain kill. (and lag)
Firts levels Goals :
- Getting Soaring Daemon Regen time as low as possible
- Optimizing physical damage
- Getting Tentacles and Infernal power to : regen time = duration - 1sec
Skills :
lvl 01 : Weapon Lore – as high as possible
lvl 01 : Magic Lore – 1 (will increase later, relying on some boni atm)
lvl 03 : Concentration - Max
lvl 06 : Dual Wield – 1 (We're looking to make damage not to chicken out behind a shield)
lvl 12 : Hell Power – 1 (same remark as Magic Lore, got it at 12 to gain benefits from Boni)
Caracs :
Full Phy Reg. Mental reg and Strength take care of themselves (big base value = big natural increase)
How to start :
- Hermit's way of life. You are playing solo or you don't know anybody to help you start.
- Mc Gyver's way of life. You can mule some items because you got 2 networked PCs, a chewing gum, matches and a red pencil. Works also if you're playing MP and find good souls to help you out !
- Peace & Love way of life : You love everybody and everybody loves you. All your friends have gathered all the gear you need to start off and offers it to you to celebrate the birth of a new community member ! Flower Power, even if flowers won't serve you at all in the Underworld !
So you're an hermit. What you need at the beginning is :
Runes
1 rune Tentacles
1 rune Infernal Power
1 rune Soaring Daemon
A weapon with a lot of physical damage and if possible a xx% bonus to physical damage or a xx% of strength to phy dmg
All the defensive gear you can find.
Runes are easy getting by starting a campaign and repeating the quest in bellevue (start, quests, export, start again). And it's easier if you play multiplayer (connect, quest, disconnect, rinse and repeat)
The weapon shouldn't be any problem also by stopping at both the merchant in Bellevue.
Remember to open every crate, chest etc.
You'll hit lvl 3 before getting all the stuff. Concentration Time and ready to clean silver creek
You're Mc Gyver.
You need the same things but before starting the Daemon start a dwarf, greed-level him to level 3 (may take 10 minutes or so), saving every skill point. At lvl 3, choose trade, max it, and look for gear for the daemon (phys dmg, def armor, sockets, sockets, sockets). Mule them to the Daemon
You got a higher lvl char... cool, but the gear he/she owns won't probably be low level enough for your daemon. But runes are. mule them. don't forget LL runes and maybe 1 or 2 + % resist runes also.
You're a Hippy.
You'll have more than you need. but respect the boni you're looking for.
First lvls :
Routine :
Soaring Daemon.
Mobbing
Tentacles / IP
Descent
Slash/punch/slice
Enjoy
Rinse
repeat
Why casting tentacles/ip after mobbing ? cause duration is short and you need it all the fight long.
my comp bar is at lvl 14 :
#6 : Soaring / Descent
#7 : Lvl 1 soaring Combo (low regen and flying time doesn't matter nor def bonus, as tentacles are leeching for you)
#8 : IP (F1 shortcut) / tentacles (F2 Shortcut)
Improved routine, once Descent has a 1 sec approx regen :
#6 Soaring
Mobbing
#8 Buff
#6 (descent) BOOM
#7 flying again HOP
#6 (descent) BOOM
Enjoy
Rinse
Repeat
You got it, 2 big smashes in a few seconds.
I can handle 4-lvl-above-mine mobs with bosses with :
9% LL
some rare gear
some potions
With a nice mobbing, you can take 20 goblins of your level down in a smash with tentacles or IP
Ranged ennemy problem !!!!
Use the improved routine.
Smash and stun the mob, smash the ranged, tentacles leeching for you. (R key is your friend, think about having some Yellow pots at low lvl)
One good thing i was thinking about to get IP AND Tentacles : boost them so their duration are equal --> Combo : 1 x IP ; 1 x Tentacles. And what's really cool in this is that you don't need to read nor keep the runes after creating the combo.
Socket the runes so that both duration are equal, wear gear, create combo, unequip the "Combo Gear", and get your usual Stuff.
Combo will keep the boosted level of the spells (i haven't tried it yet, but read it somewhere). With some more levels, combo regen will be much shorter than duration.
Well my first guide finishes here. Hope you fid it useful. I will add info as Taki grows up
