I'm new here so I don't know if I should put this here or not but I made a Vamp guide if you think it suitable. If not then if you could point me in the right direction. Thnx
-------Permanent Vampire Guide-------
The Vampiress is my all time favorite character, my vamp on underworld is only level 96 because I just switched to underworld, but on plus I have a level 192. I first realized how powerful this build is when at level 80 I soloed level 120 mobs and did not realize the 40 level the enemies had jumped. This is just an introductory guide as I am sure you will want to tweak it and I am not going to tell you how to play the game.
This build utilizes the ability to have a vamp in near permanent transformation which allows for max damage, all the time. To do this make a combo with ONE vamp transformation in it, it will recharge by time you turn back into a knight, thus allowing you to change back again. I don’t recommend doing this until level 10 though as until then your vamp may have sunburn issues.
-----------STATS---------
As a vamp your choices are either:
Strength: raises hp and melee slightly
Physical Regeneration: raises hp and CA regen slightly
Personally I usually raise physical regen but the choice is yours
-----------SKILLS----------
Weapon Lore
Vampirism
Sword/ Axe Lore
BloodLust
Constitution
Armour
Parry/Agility
PCS (personal choice skill)
•You should max weapon lore.
•Vampirism you should raise until the increase per level is pathetic.
•Pick sword or axe lore depending on which type of weapon you want to use, Fadalmars is pretty good and axes usually have more damage but I’m a sword person so I went with sword lore. (With sword lore you can also get Aarnums which is one of my favorite sets)
•Level Bloodlust until your happy with regens
•Put spare points into constitution as it is a great life booster
•Put points into armor until it is about 50, + to skills will take or the rest later
•Choose parry if you want more defense, IMHO (in my humble opinion) you can do without either but most people swear by it so pick one, level it to about 50 or so
•For this you have many options, get trading if you are playing SP, in MP it is nigh useless IMHO. You could go with one of the lores you didn’t choose to open up your weapon possibilities.
•DO NOT CHOOSE CONCENTRATION!!!! Concentration only affects regen of CA’s in KNIGHT FORM, not vamp form therefore it is absolutely pointless to you in all ways!!!
•Every one of these skills can be substituted for anything else, that is one of the reasons I love this char because you can choose the stupidest skills and can still dominate most anything.
----------CA’S------------
Ripping Claws (attack)
You can use this in two ways, keep the regen under 2 seconds and just use this as your main attack, or, you can max it early, make a combo, get lots of concentration pots, and dominate anything in one combo
Whirling Claws (multi-hit)
This skill is great in crowds, keep the regen at about 1.5 – 2 seconds. This skill can be hard to aim so if you are new to it, practice a little.
Hard Hit
For some reason the vampiress excels in this, it is good for hitting runners or leveling high and making a combo, the choice is yours. Some don’t even use this skill, I keep leveled so I can switch my skill line-up every now and then.
Any other skills are just for fun, no other skills have the time to be as effective as the ones above; however, they are fun to play with.
---------Equipment------------
The main set I use is Thorwyns because of the MF bonuses. The best thing about this build is that usually nothing lives long enough to hit you and even if they do, with all the vamp runes you will socket, your life will be back to full in one hit even for the weakest of vamps. Try to get some Critical stuff life Aarnums rings. There are many unique swords for the vampires and one enables the attacking of animals; that’s always fun.
Make sure to have differing elements of attack in your weapon slots for when you are in different areas with monsters that have different resistances. You can use a shield if you want but the vamp suffers no speed penalty for two-handed weapons so feel free to use those.
Have fun, and happy slaughtering
