I have never met anyone who drains energy from someone else consciously. The people you drain from can learn to shield themselves. You could also learn to pull energy from elsewhere so that you don't feel you need to drain it from others. All it takes it some visualization. :howl:

I think I would would be one of the older vamps, like from the victorian times. I think that the facts about vampires and daylight are a little confising. I think that it's not that sunlight will combust them into smoldering ashes ( ), but that it's more like they are living dead or undead and their skin is so decayed and fragile that the sunlight just makes matters worse. I also like the idea of bitting someone and turning them, but then you would have to decipher between how much blood to drink to turn them and how much blood to drink from a feeder, you know? Also the concept from Queen of the Damned as if you drink the last drop of blood left you in turn die with your victim, or atleast are very weakened because that last drop is in essence death itself. LOL, if you can't tell yet I like rambling(vampyre's r kool!!). It wouldn't be so much that you are drinking blood, but that the blood contains the victim's life energy (adding that to my above statement about the last drop kinda makes a little more sence). I agree with AREA666 about the transformation into a bat/human creature like Marcus. (Underworld 1 and 2 rule!!!) There's always the seductive side to vamps, which I love. The way they can be so suave yet maniacal.

well I've red 2 kind of vampire books the first one I've red was written by Bram Stoker: Drakula. I loved that book a lot that's a cool one... I look at Bram Stoker as the creator of vampires I think he was the first who wrote about vampires and the first vampire film is from his book Drakula. The 2nd one is a series contains 12 books written by Daren Shan they are cool too, I've got Drakula and 4 books from Daren Shan the 3rd, the 4th, the 7th, and the 8th. Bram Stoker's vampire: Drakula is earlier in time I don't really know what time is it but there were horses used mostly and ships which had no engine so those ones which with u can only sail, but there were also trains I think must be about about the end of XVIII. centuries or the early XIX. centuries. Daren Shan's vampires are closer to us in time the are about 60-70th centuries or something like that. I would be more like Drakula I also lover more the older vampires Idk why but I think this modern vampire thing f**ks it up a bit . They don't need modern technology and weapons they are enough strong without them... In Daren Shan's book you can read that there are vampires who don't like the modern world and technology so they go away from them and live like in the starting. By the way in Daren Shan's book there are to kind of vampires the ones who only drink that much blood they need to survive and the bad guys who drink all the blood from their openents, and they get all their knowledge and memories by drinking all their blood, also good vampires drink all the blood from humans but only if the ask them to. I think that turning people into vampires is not that confusing but it depends on which book have u red about them and which film. In Daren Shan the don't have to bit them and drink their blood, in Daren Shan's book the vampires put their blood in the person who they want to turn to be vampire, but they don't make them real vampires first the have to go through tryouts then they can become real vampires from half vampires. In Drakula, Drakula force people(Mina Harker) to drink his blood to become vampires, but there are also people who want to become and that have to do things for Drakula first... So I would be an older vampire who can turn to be bat/wolf can command the natures powers can call wolfs animals with his mental powers he also can command them and can make fog (so almost the same as Drakula), and also that one who burn if the sunshine reaches him. Something like that. Also in Drakula vampires can't cross water only when it's full moon and he can't go in the people's houses only if they call him in...

i hope no one mind resurrection, since i am going to resurrect this thread (sorry ) i am surprised no one mentioned "legacy of kain" kind of vampires (where vampires are the most noble race, and humans are the barbarians). if i want to be a vampire i will be kain type of vampire. anyone who have some interest in vampire stories, should play this series, even if you don't like to play the game, i strongly recommend you to read the story. sorry again for resurrection.

Hello! I think Sacred and "Legacy of Kain / Soul Reaver", are the most complete and nice versions. I like those two kinds - with their traits and the whole history. Jumping, ferocious, somehow noble, the kind developed in The "Witcher" (i mean the book) also have something in common with the whole concept for "the vampire" for me.
