I just haven't gotten the patches yet, Area. Will try to get to it soon. I can't believe I forgot to mention Diablo 2!

Okay so pretty much the only game I keep seeing over and over is Neverwinter Nights I think... is that something that enough people play and you all would like a board to chat about it?
I play so few games on the PC that I really don't know what games would be good for chatting or needing help with. I have always been way more into console games and since they are not online games I just don't know which are really popular to others. Although there are a few out there that I really wish there was more info. on. Rogue Galaxy for instance... I started playing that one recently and I am soooo into it. But it is so involved and there is so much I could really use help with but no sites about it really. Plus the little bit of info. I have found hasn't been hugely helpful. So I broke down and ordered the strategy guide which should arrive today or tomorrow. I really suggest this game to everyone that has Playstation though.... it is soo great.

I don't play NWN, but I think if it will spark the interest of more forum members then go for it.
How is your computer coming along? I hear that if you want to play older games on Vista you have to turn off the 3d OS and do some other changes to your PC graphics.

I am still waiting for my hubby to set up XP for me... unfortunately that isn't something I know how to do. He has Thurs. and Fri. off though so I hope to make him do it then.

I have been using Vista for about 2 weeks now, well the retail that is since I was using the beta versions before that on and off for a few months, but so far I have not had any game I played before not work or require changes to make it work. I know some really old games that might be DOS based will likely have issues, but those games did in XP anyway. Right now I have installed on my computer Supreme Commander which is made to work on Vista anyway so it has no problems, NWN2 which came out in XP times but works fine, Star Wars Empire At War which is another XP game, Spellforce 2 which had a problem with the Starforce protection but all that I needed to do to make it work was update the copy protection software from their site, Sacred and UW, Sid Meirs Pirates which is about 3 years old and works, and finally Total Annihilation which is a Windows 95 game that came out in 97 and it works fine. Oh I guess the only thing that maybe could be considered a problem was the Command And Conquer 3 demo which required me to set the installer exe to XP SP2 compatability to get it to extract the installer files correctly, but once installed it was fine, but I figure it is just a demo after all.
For more on topic I am not sure if we really need any other games talked about since there really hasnt been many people talking in here and even with NWN games being mentioned a bunch it is not really a game that has many questions on it. Its a much more linear game then Sacred and since it is D&D based everything is explained in painful detail so there really isnt anything left for the players to figure out like in Sacred. There could be a few areas on the campaign that people might want to know if option A or B is better, but that would probably be about it.

Rogue Galaxy... now I know why my wife is spending so much time on the PS after I bought it for her... LOL. She's playing God of War and that. God of War because she wants to remember the original story, since GoW2 is coming out. I'm not playing any internet games at the moment. I mean I rarely have time to play, let alone surfing!

I was curious, We went and played in a gaming shop yesterday and I came across Titan Quest- Immortal Throne. Do you guys know anything about this game? I did a quick reading on the box, and it said a quick blurb about the first so many days free online play( something to that effect) I was wondering if this was another WOW type game. I have done some searching on it in their forums but have not had much luck getting a clear answer. and if the first Titan Quest was worth spending 30 on. It says its for Diablo fans. Just curious Hubby did end up getting me Jaws Revenge LOL Its actually alot of fun, but Cant install and run Sacred at the same time due to directx issues. Yet another puzzle to figure out there. Another question tooo. I've played diablo 2 since its release but never online, anyone else here played online? and how about a group venture if so inclined? LOL I will be getting my sacred to work again come hell or highwater.. (Um Montpelier may flood soon, so I better be quick!)

I played Diablo 2 a heck of a lot online. To be honest with you I've never played it offline. Nearly the same goes for Sacred, I have played offline but I haven't ever completed the entire campaign. I'd be willing to play a little while over on D2 but I'd have to look for my disk, and I start my job Monday so I don't know how much I'll be playing..

I too played D2 online... never bothered trying it offline. But the community got soooo horrible I will never touch it again Plus once you have beaten the quest line like a 100 times and gotten and lost (due to expirations on accounts) all the godliest gear possible for your chars it kinda gets boring lol.

In that same light, I hope Sacred 2 becomes pretty dynamic. I hope there will be an RPG out there where SP will be confined to your PC and MMORPG elements will be available online: random and consistent spawning creatures, replenshing resources, non-linear RPG paths, community participation (sub-classes: a character's day job when not being a hero) and my long-proposed "Brain Drain" principle. I realized that the kids nowadays are so afflicted by this growing menace: MMORPG over school. Worse, adults have work in place of school to trade. So I figured, why not put a learning curve not just on the people playing it, but for the characters as well? It makes things real right? I mean if characters in a given game have physical endurance, limiting the distance they can run before they start panting and resort to walking again; why can't a character start gaining less experience if there's information or experience overload? I mean even nerds can't study more than 8 hours non-stop... I think. Then they will have a reason to retire from playing online clocking the amount of time they were logged off till the time they log on again. This will serve as their character's "sleep" time and rejuvinate them for the next adventure. At least 8 hours will do. In the meantime, like a superhero with an alter-ego, the player goes to do his day job. Of course a lot of people will not like this since some people live, eat, drink, and S**t on their PC chair... or desktop toilet bowl. Sleep is becoming optional. They like continuous levelling, and more power. Unfortunately in one of the most selling forms of entertainment, the greed of man can still be seen: men with power want more power. But hell even I am guilty of that and I will understand if pans, knives, pitchforks and morningstars start flying my way... I get hate mail about this all the time But know that I mean no harm.
