Well the old fashion rules were either all white, all green or all gray. It evolved soon to yellow and white. Then technically some hospitals stopped caring, as long as you know which ward you belong to and no patient was dying out of malpractice for us staff only though. I rarely see a doctor with a funky outfit other than this person I know in neurology who always has a marvel superhero tie, and DC comics cuffs... weird.

No Blue scrubs? Up here we see alot of blues. Not like I'm there all the time... My mom works at Central Vermont Hospital so the times I've seen her there, I've seen blue and burgundy too.

depends on the hospital I guess, but I was speaking traditional colors. Blue I think is dependent on the Hospital's Theme for uniform. I think in general, as long as the color is serene for the eyes, it's ok. But I remember the days when it's all white..... white... like the bathroom tile white.... and goodluck to you if blood pours on that tidy white uniform...

LOL Oh The all white brings to mind a sanitarium, that and the light pea green. NOT that I've ever been to one! and the white scrub tends to make blood a little more gruesome too.

yes it does, and if medical personnel wore blood red uniforms to avoid stain complications, imagine the patients who would visualize that as RBC's running about...

I am not sure how we got to such a different topic from the start, but that is conversation for you. Anyway, could you wear one that was plaid, or something reminiscent of a kaleidoscope or tie dye?

I think so, but plaid designs come with a particular cloth too, which is not hospital friendly as I know. But it's not impossible...

Well then I fully expect you to begin this trend which I will hear about on the news as either you being a crazy person for doing it, or a genius since the colors are found to make people more relaxed and somehow they will also have magical healing powers.

Well with all these possibilities it sounds like it could be a good research project. Maybe you could publish a book on the results and go down in history for creative thinking and you can visit hospitals all over and be a motivational speaker.
