That's OK Erling, if no one gets it after a day or so you can go ahead and answer. At least you asked someone else instead of googling it. I didn't know the answer when I was asked the riddle - had to ask several people before anyone would tell me....

Oops guilty, after Erling's last post it was driving me nuts so I googled it. But I have to admit that even though I get the where and why of it I am still not sure what the actual answer is hehe

Lol it's OK Wolfe. There are two answers to it, but combined they make the one right answer. What you probably found was the story about it, could be wrong though... but I googled it when I first posted it to see how hard it would be to find the answer. Honestly I thought this would be the first solved... I had heard it when I was just a little kid, then again I grew up in a Catholic church practically.

Well I just figured it was more of a common knowledge riddle than it actually was. I guess it was different for me because I was raised differently than some...

Yeah it is definitely a religious riddle that mostly is only heard through church or a theology class Okay I know the answer then since it is a two part answer...

OK... it's been a good amount of time. One of you can say the answer, but Wolfe I'll leave it up to you if you think someone should get credit. I don't care either way, but since you both know the answer and both haven't said it yet (regardless of how the knowledge was obtained) it's a toss up. However, there is still one last riddle left It's an easy one when you think about it - just gotta think outside the box

I'll let Erling tell the answer and get the credit since he at least asked a professor's help. No one should EVER get points for finding an answer on the web... I just didn't want to wait till someone either guessed right or you gave up and told us lol Good job on the last one Erling! Now that you've said the answer it is SOOOO obvious duh!

i feel dumb... i donno if i understand this but this is the answer i was given... Samson says, "Out of the eater" he is talking about the lion. The lion is the eater. So when he says, "Out of the eater came something to eat," he is referring to the honey that came out of the lion. The second part of the riddle - "out of the strong" refers to the lion again. So Samson is focusing on the lion and the honey. this is one of the answers? or both?

Actually I think that “Out of the eater came something to eat" was the lion and "And out of the strong came something sweet” was the honey.... so the answer is lion meat and honey. Or am I wrong too?

Well it is the Lion and the Honey. The actual answer is posed in a question... The version of the answer that I've heard has the lions body filled with honey.... in that the lion would be Jesus, and the honey being his word - the word of the Lord. Oh yes, Erling you are correct on the final one. Congrats, you got all my riddles That means it's your turn to post a riddle thread. Think of a good one buddy

Wolfe - can you edit the original post of this thread to place the answers in it, then delete this post?
Also, Erling should get points for all of them, I'd say 5 per riddle... I did 4 at once so that gave a larger opportunity for points than normal. Up to you though, I forget exactly how we worked out the points when we did riddles before. Answer to #1 What is sweeter than honey? What is stronger than a lion?
Answer to #4 Nothing
