Your best bet would probably be to ask at the International Forum... very few of us here have had the privilege of playing yet But if you get an answer there that fixes it than it would be great if you share the answer here in case anyone else here comes across the problem...

Were you able to get around this problem? I found your thread on the offical forums and I can not open the files. The files open with Quicktime for me, and as you said, they do not show the inventory. I downloaded the ifranview program and all I get with that is a big black box.

Wolfe, I just tried another program to open the files, and it is not working for me. The files have the tga extension, which as I understand Photoshop will open. So what I am wondering is what is the file size limit I can email to you? My screenshots are big due to my 1920x1200 resolution, so they are almost 9 megs each, but I can rar one down to about 5.25 megs, so I figure I could try and email one to you to see if you can open it, if I can not find a program that does work for me here.

I could also try and help out with this. I got photoshop at home, and can get access to other programs as well as doing some research on how to open it. That is if you want help ofc Btw there could be some screenshot limitations in the demo, though I can't imagine why they would want that.

My email account can receive attachments up to 20MB so go for it and yes photoshop can open tga files.

I was also able to convert them using radtools, which is the formats native program I believe. I know that Sacred 2 used the extension bik for its movies, which is the radtools program, so I assume the shots are too. I had the same thing with them though and not seeing any inventory. So what I am thinking is that if wolfe gets the same thing that the game itself is just not taking the shots correctly. I did notice the screen liked to flash when taking them, so maybe that has something to do with it.

The screen flashing could also be the games way of telling you the screenshot has been taken. In D2 the game used to pause for a split second while the pic was taken. Drop me a pm if you'd like my email to try as well though. Since I don't have S2 I can maybe help out with some other things

Sacred 1 used to pause for a second whenever you took a screenshot to let you know it took it, so that theory makes sense about the flashing. I wonder if it is some sort of setting that was used to take the really good screenshots that have been released by Ascaron over the last few months to remove the interface for a cleaner shot. But maybe they never converted the setting to have the default keep the interface again? Anyway here is a smaller jpg version of the screenshot to emailed me AREA:

You got some images from Prom right Wolfe? Maybe he knows of a way to do it, unless he found the images elsewhere.

I think most people just never encountered this problem... wonder if it is only certain versions....

There is a free version of FRAPS , which is a screen capture program. Use google to find it. I've used fraps with the demo version of Sacred 2 (it works with lots of games) to capture screen-shots to include the inventory screen. regards, fleet

I suppose using a 3rd party program might be the best way for now until something more simple can be found out, or if a patch makes it work like the olden days of S1.

Wofle, on the thread about this in the official forum wraithking and I have been asking about the images and one of the developers came in and said it was intentional to not have the interface show up. I asked if it is considered illegal to try and take pictures of it with a 3rd party program, since if it is it will kind of put a damper on things, or if it will be removed from later patches, so when and if I hear something I will let you know.
