Having pre-ordered Sacred2 through Amazon as all of the local stores in my area have the nerve not to carry it. I just got an e-mail today stating that the release date has been pushed back to and I quote "The release date for the video game listed below has been changed by the publisher, and we want to provide you with a new delivery estimate based on the new release date: "Sacred 2: Fallen Angel [CD-ROM]" [DVD-ROM] Release date: 03/31/2009" This has really upset me as the original date set for release at amazon was 9/30/08.

Awww that sucks!!! I kind of expected this though. With a game as involved as Sacred the release date often gets pushed back at the last minute. I wish we knew for sure though... for instance the dates currently on CDV (the USA distributor) are:
Release Date PC: November 2008 Xbox 360: February 2009 Playstation 3: February 2009
Ahhh well, but here is a warning for you... as it gets closer to Amazon's new delivery date don't be surprised if it gets pushed back again. If I remember correctly Underworld's date got pushed back a few times.

I saw what you said about Sacred2 Collectors Edition, how much is it and should I change my order from Amazon, in order to purchase that one?

Well they aren't selling it is the USA yet... but the Australian vendors are selling it for $85 AUS which converts to about $65 US.

I can not remember any game that was released on time, so I am not suprised. I am actually happy to see it pushed back since I have many other time consuming games I wish to play before it comes out, and I want there to be as few bugs as can be. I am also happy the collectors edition is only 65. It seems most are more than that, and a normal game for the ps3 or 360 is 60 as it is, so not bad at all.

Yeah not bad at all if you can get it shipped from Australia and the shipping doesn't cost an arm and a leg lol. I have no idea how much the USA version will be though...

Seeing as how the game went gold a few weeks ago I am going to assume the release date they are listing is for the console versions and they are just applying it to the PC one as well.
I just bought a copy on eBay though, it was 80 shipped. The store claims to have 93 copies in stock, so that could mean they have some already since other auctions for the normal version said they had it, or the guy just ordered 100 and they will be sent out when he gets his.

Just be careful with ebay auctions, unless you aren't in any hurry to receive your game. When Underworld came out I didn't want to wait for the USA release so I ordered a copy from ebay. The auction said that they were coming from the UK where it HAD been released and that the person selling them had like 50 copies in stock. It turns out that some guy from the US had ordered a case of the game from a UK distributor on the net and posted the auctions a few days before the projected arrival date he'd been given. But when the company began processing his order and saw he was from the US where it wasn't released they waited till the US release date to ship them. Therefore, I didn't actually get my game for over a month and a few days PAST the USA release which defeated the whole purpose of my ordering it from ebay early. My only consolation was that I DID at least get it for about $10 cheaper.

I forgot to add that the game was shipped about 2 days ago now I think, so if I get it and all is well I will let you know. The guy changed his auction page to say he actually has the game in stock, so I will see.
I do not think there will be any problems with the auction though. The guy I am buying the game from has a star rating of like 7500 @ 99.5% positive, so basically he is really good. I have only ever had one bad experience of buying things on ebay in the 500 or so things I have gotten in the past 10 years, and that was my fault for not doing the research to find out the cds I was buying were never made on a cd, so they were just copies from a record.

Awwww that sucks! Yeah I have had very few problems with ebay either and we've bought a tons of stuff there, mostly books and computer parts. But the only time I DID try to get a game early that was what happened so now I'm a little gun shy in that type of instance hehe. Now if I could only fix the monster computer I'd actually be looking for a copy too!

normally people will put in their auction it is a preorder anyway, or at least they do now, maybe years ago they did not to boost their sales.
You should start trying to fix the computer there then, unless you plan to just use the PS3 version when it comes out. Maybe you can talk to the higher up people you know and tell them they should send you a test computer to play it on so you can continue to provide information and keep people interested in their game.

Hahaha yeah I wish!!!! We are going to try to fix the computer sometime soon but depending on the bills it may have to wait till February's tax return Until then I guess I'll settle for the PS3 version when it is released... I wanted a copy of that as well anyway.

Ok I got my copy in today, well actually it came in on like Monday, but I have been lazy at picking it up from the post office. So if anybody wants to get a copy then the guy I posted the link to before on eBay does an excellent job.

Just upgraded my computer tonight, and got Sacred 2 along with it, I'm installing right now! I am tired of my old Magic Pro ATI 3870 X2 crashing frequently, plus it has an overheat problem, requiring the use of ATITool to fix. The most serious case is running the Fall from Heavens mod of Civilization IV... it will go into a never-ending driver restart loop, within the first five minutes of launching a new game doing nothing, and all that right after a cold boot. So I got a new power supply (from 500W to 600W now), and an Asus NVidia EN9800GTX+ TOP. It's a card with super cooling and better performances. I have considered the top line GeForce cards (200 series), but it's HKD1000 more but without much gain in performance nor new DirectX features. So I just upped the power supply for future cards and settled with a 9800. There's a Asus EN9800GTX X2, which is kind of like ATI's X2, but the power requirement is insane - a whooping 580W. It's nuts. I think I still need a new monitor... I'm using an old Samsung SyncMaster 171N. Samsung doesn't have a driver for it in Vista, so my GeForce consider it as a CRT, and the fonts are kind of blurry.
